In neither of the links you provided does it state if its is built by ati or sapphire...so i'll just assume powercolor, how is that? oh, but of course you can assume it's in your defense, correct?

Ok, I don't know what kind of crack you're smokin', but it must be pretty good.

There are 3 clues on that page alone that verify that this is an ATi manufactured card.

First, it lists ATi as the manufacturer
Second, it lists ATi as the manufacturer again
Third, it includes a manufacturer's stock # (100-435012) for your reference.

Perhaps rehab would do you good.

If you check ati's site, all BBA products start with a 102 product number, thanks for proving yourself wrong.

LMAO Read the site:

You can be sure your video adapter has been manufactured by ATI when:

The BUILT BY ATI logo is on the box. This is unique to the newer graphics boards and multimedia products in retail boxes
The retail box has a Manufacturer Part Number beginning with 100.
Retail boards that have a 102 Part Number or a Bios Part Number

LOL, you really need to have a nice calming drink and learn to read. Retail boxes have a product code of 100 😉

True. That would verify what he has. But in anycase he was right about there being a 9800 non pro.

But it'd be just as easy for you to admit you're wrong 😉

Wow this guy is getting 0wn3d like a 3rd year old playing in the NBA. I'm going to submit this thread as one of the top all time 0wn3d threads 🙂

I haven't (at least I don't feel) i've been proven wrong yet...these are all non-specific links as to wether or not they are built by or sapphire cards...obviously they are ALL going to be ATI, that is the chipset...some places specify others dont, that doesnt mean you are going to get what you ASSUME it is...

This is the best pwned thread I've ever seen.

Tweak....I would just flat out leave Anandtech now if I were you, I'd be ashamed to post here any longer.

No where in the links does it say thats what is on the box...it says PART/MFG number...

Everyone else is being so immature about this...and Chunkee refuses to get what is on his card...if i was arrogant I would have left this thread a long time ago and just assume i'm right like the rest of you guys, I just want to find truth to this..

What?

If a reseller provides the manufacturer's model number (that includes the MANUFACTURER'S retail code), a photo of the manufacturers retail box, and a description of exactly what's going to be shipped to you, you can expect that is going to be EXACTLY whats coming to you, or they'd be guilty of a bait/switch, false advertising and fraud.

I don't know how that could be anymore specific.

I think you need to add a new category or the current Dumbasses are going to be offended that you lumped this guy in with them.

You've been owned.

Damn.

I dont understand how this is a competition of some sort...why cant I just get the number off of someone's card who actually has this?

No offense but.....HOW MUCH PROOF DO YOU NEED? It's common knowledge on this forum for anybody who has kept up with video cards in the last 2 years or so that there IS a 9800 non-pro. It doesn't matter if it's BBA(Built By ATI) or (Powered By ATI)...it's STILL a 9800 non-pro. There are even reviews of it on the web.......the performance was on par with a 9700 Pro. If you want to continue to be stubborn and not listen when you have been given more proof than you could ever possibly need to solve this argument, that's up to you. The people who frequent this board are enthusiasts. They KNOW their products. They've already proven that it exists and even mentioned that it's discontinued. So.....if you can't admit that they were right, that's ok. But drop the dumb argument.....as it makes you look worse everytime you post.

You need to spend some time with Clint. 😉

I never questioned that a 9800 existed...I have never seen a NON-PRO version of a BUILT BY ATI...i don't really care if its sapphire, the whole point was for me to get a price value of the card that Chunkee owns, thats it, so I referenced a sapphire card as it is the closest BBA product I can think of....some people just blow things way out of proportion.

I...I just dunno what to say at this point...

a Manf Part # of the RETAIL BOX is whats on these sites since they can't exactly open up the box, take the card out of plastic, and read off the EXACT part #....

A box # would be good enough for me and thats what a lot of the links when you search for that part # are showing...

I say its pretty clean cut and clear at this point they exist....

I dont understand how you can be so ignorant....

all those peeps that bought an ATI Radeon 9800 non-pro last year are liars and losers.
good grief

you are not worth getting the number off the card nor sending you pix of the retail box i have etc.

jC

So the argument isn't whether or not there are 9800 non-pro's but whether or not Chunkee has a Built By ATI non-pro?
