I remember rainy days in front of my childhood antique wood UHF TV. In the days after we just immigrated to the U.S. my parents held 2 or more jobs so they never really "raised" me. In essense TV raised me. Reflecting now on my self years ago, I see "The Yonder Years" as the show which most defined my morals, beliefs, and mostly my childhood. I would see myself in Kevin's feet, act out what he did, who he did it with and how. I could feel the love he had for wendy, the fear he had for her rejection, and the sense of purpose he had in life. Really that was the show that encircled my childhood. What was yours?

Then we figured out we could just park them in front of the TV. That's how I was raised and I turned out TV.

Aparently it shaped your childhood and taught you how not to spell.

"The Yonder Years"??? WTF?

Try The Wonder Years.
And considering the female character's name was Winnie, not Wendy. OP, did you ever even watch the show?

Jeez what kind of memory did you have at 8 or 10? Huh? Of course I didn't remember the abosolute SPECIFICS. I just remembered the FEELING I had from watching the show. That's why it's called NOSTALGIA not memory recall. And frak spelling, this is a damn forum not some 25 page essey. Jeez...

Sesame Street, Reading Rainbow, The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show, Super Mario Bros. Super Show, Transformers, The Cosby Show, Greatest American Hero, Knight Rider, Airwolf, Muppet Babies, G.I. Joe, Dukes of Hazzard, Price is Right

Airwolf and Knight Rider, man.... Airwolf and Knight Rider. To this day, my dream is to have an indestructible talking car that could do 300 with the "super boost" on 🙂

That was one of the worst shows in the history of television.

You want to talk PBS? Let's talk Bob Ross and the Joy of Painting, now that was a good show!

There were a lot of good shows on back then which is kind of amazing when you consider that there were only 3 channels to pick from. ('60s and early '70s)
