TV shows that shaped your childhood.

I remember rainy days in front of my childhood antique wood UHF TV. In the days after we just immigrated to the U.S. my parents held 2 or more jobs so they never really "raised" me. In essense TV raised me. Reflecting now on my self years ago, I see "The Yonder Years" as the show which most defined my morals, beliefs, and mostly my childhood. I would see myself in Kevin's feet, act out what he did, who he did it with and how. I could feel the love he had for wendy, the fear he had for her rejection, and the sense of purpose he had in life. Really that was the show that encircled my childhood. What was yours?

Winnie was tits:heart:

I wholeheartedly agree though. The sense of consience that those shows relied on to have the audience laugh or cry really became our own. We struggle to understand why having goo dumped on someone On Nikelodeon was funny, or why The karate Kid was so great.

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH. I was looking for hte little of that show for YEARS "land of the lost". I would alwyas remember, like one episode when they were tricked into thinking they were back in their old neighbor hood, but never the actual title just the "lost" part.

Hmm thanks to this I made a bookmark folder entitled "Pages O Nostalgia"

Dude, send me those :D I loved Power Rangers... for like the first season. After that it became crap with Zeo, Turbo, Space, etc, etc. Loved Muppet Babies, TMNT, Transformers, Family Matters, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Ducktales, Darkwing Duck ("Let's get dangerous!"), Talespin, Smurfs, Captain Planet, Gilligan's Island, I Love Lucy, Winnie the Pooh, Saved by the Bell, Batman, Spiderman, Sesame Street, Garfield, Lois and Clark, Married with Children (that show corrupted my mind ), The Flintstones, The Jetsons, The Cosby Show, Johnny Quest, Scooby-Doo, Different Strokes, Who's The Boss?, those early saturday morning cartoons (Sylvester and Tweety, Tom and Jerry, Popeye, Bugs Bunny, Looney Tunes)... man, there's so many more...

Yea I remember watching lots of little house on the prairie.

What else did I watch... when I was really young, it was Different Strokes and The Facts of Life. It wasn't until later, late middle school, it shifted from shows to cartoons, such as Duck Tales.

Then of course I watched Star Trek, old and new, any chance I got.

Oh man, you got the ones I forgot. F Troop was the best!

And of course the "Wonderful World of Disney" came on every Sunday night, couldn't miss it.

*edit*
And how could I forget "Bonanza" with Hoss and little Joe, and the Rifleman, Pancho and Cisco, Wild Wild West, Laramie.

Damn I watched too much TV as a kid:)
