How is Halt And Catch Fire still on the air? Nobody seems to watch that show on TV anymore. They might as well sell the show to Netflix or Amazon, where it might find a better audience.

I stopped watching it. It's just too tedious. Introduce some new characters for f***'s sake. There's only so much you can do with the same cast season after season. There are exceptions but most writers don't have the imagination for that kind of writing.

I watched the first couple episodes of Halt & Catch Fire... It was okay, then I got sick of the characters. Lead was a pretentious asshole. Then the show decided to do the classic "we show people fucking so we're edgy" within the first ten minutes of the first episode, IIRC.

Is there a place that lists all the upcoming new shows (and only the new shows) for all the networks (including cable)?

Yes, the bright red font for all new shows looks hard to understand. And for just new shows, not really much to search given the number of them.

Ah, yes, let me read an image file and then manually type the names of the new shows into a search engine to find out more about them so I can know what the show is even about. Brilliantly usable.

Netflix has cancelled bloodline.

In tv movie news, Turner bought broadcast rights for all Star Wars properties and will start with a 6 movie marathon on 9/20.

It's in html and if you use firefox you should be able to highlight the name of the show, rt click, and then click 'search google for [highlighted text] - although this may be one of my addons. Not sure. Some I think have links but they don't really tell you much. Also the list tells you the genre of the show which I find immensely helpful.

^I think a crucifixion reference would have been better.

E.g. "Amazon decides to crucify the series."

I'm waiting for season 2 of The Expanse.

I still think The Expanse is one of my favorite shows I've watched in quite awhile, and am only halfway through season 1. The way the tech is portrayed is well done I thought and the acting/writing is above average also IMHO.

Have caught up on Dark Matter and Killjoys.

Personally out of those I go:

Killjoys 7.4/10

Dark Matter 7.8/10

The Expanse 8.2/10

Still plan on checking out Continuum, have never watched it, but have been catching up on SyFy shows lately I guess.

You, sir, enjoy the sci-fi.

Continuum is okay. I watched the entire series, didn't think it was great, but wasn't bad. Not really happy how the last few episodes went.

When I first saw the trailer for the show I was intrigued by it and when I saw the first episode I was hooked. Finally a show that has a realistic approach to how humans in the not so distant future might be living. I love the MCRN Donnager and the Tachi plus the attention to detail is fabulous on the sets. The port and starboard rail guns on the Donnager look super cool and the fact that the shps eject the torpedoes and let them clear the ship before they fire to eliminate any influence to the course of the ship speaks volumes about their attention to detail. It reminds me of the compressed air ejection of a submarine launching missiles which don't fire until they break the surface of the water. What about those firearms that don't have any recoil? The scene in the hotel on Eros really illustrates that point. The characters have a lot of personality to them and the actors do a great job of portraying them. The season 2 trailer has me all excited about the next season.

I finally gave up on B&B this season. Maybe I'll dl the eps and watch if I get desperate for something to watch but I think probably not.

If I watched TV I might care about this thread.
Sincerely hope the new Star Trek is successful. The recent films have not found a special place in my heart.

Ha. Turns out I had bookmarked that at some point in the past and had forgotten about it. That certainly helps; it even already has blurbs for new (scripted) shows. Thanks.

The Queen of the South remains Queen for another season on USA Network.

I thought overall, it was OK for the time slot.
They did clean house the last episode, so, unsure how they continue it from there.

^Queen of the South was okay for the 3 or 4 episodes I saw. Forgot about it one week and haven't seen it since.
