TV 2016-2017 Death Watch

Ugh... Z-Nation starts September 16? I like the show enough that I have to watch it but don't love it.

Lucifer is back the 19th. Hope it's a 12 episode season.

Should see some show preview reviews coming shortly but I have my money for this years surprise cancellation as Criminal Minds since they just canned the lead actor.
The guy is nuts, he actually kicked another member of the show, no wonder they canned him.

Oh, didn't know about 24: Legacy until I checked out that pic in the OP. I don't know any of the cast, except Jimmy Smits who I like from SoA. I'll definitely check it out. The first several, up to and including five, seasons of 24 were fun as hell.

Hadn't heard about Thomas Gibson being fired. That's unfortunate...but makes sense why. I hope it doesn't get cancelled until AJ Cook either leaves or finds a new show. 😉

A couple weeks away from the broadcast networks new seasons to start airing so time to toss the thread back up.

Cheat sheet for premier dates.

thx for the chart.
has Lucifer gotten better?
I bailed after S01E03.

also, waiting for:
Star wars: Rebels
RWBY
Blacklist: Redemption

How the F is Sleepy Hollow still on the air?! their ratings are dismal

I know there are lots of bad shows on now but how does 2 Broke Girls stay on the air? 😕

And of coarse Designated Survivor is on Wednesdays 🙁 That has potential but i won't get to see it.

New season begins trickling in tonight, so let's get some updates to kick things off.

Netflix grants renewals to Marcos *2 and Strange Things.

Scifi renews Killjoys and Dark Matter.

Disney renews as yet unaired Mech-X4.

The Last Ship will be lonely yet again.

Feed the Beast and Devious Maids are relieved of their duties.

Grimm and Pretty Little Liars have been cancelled with current season to be their finale.

And CBS announced that for an additional $4 surcharge, you can remove ads from their new streaming service scheme.

Based on downward trajectory probably approaching the end. My best guess is they're a utility player (ie good enough), and hasn't gone up for contract renewal yet (ie cheap enough).

It's not really about how good a show is, it's about how profitable a show is.

I enjoy it. It doesn't try to be really clever or have some big message every episode. Plus Kat Dennings has a really great.......personality.

It already hit syndication numbers...so must be the renewal thing.

It used to be pretty good, but I think one of their main writers left -- might be Morgan Murphy. The last season was the worst so far and they started it in November or something.

I don't understand 2 Broke Girls' success either. I tried to watch a few episodes but just couldn't, even in the first season.

I'm waiting for season 2 of The Expanse.
I couldn't make it through the first season. I tried, but eventually gave up about half way through.

LOL I came to this thread to say that Tyrant should be canceled because Season 3 was so fucking bad. I didn't know it was officially canceled.

In what could be good or bad news.....Last Ship has been renewed again. Looks like a cost saving move so they can film 2 season back to back. Will this end up into a series finale though.....

In a move to promote shows with better titles, Sexdrugsrockandroll and Mistresses waived.

Hell's Kitchen bucks the trends and gets doubled up.

friday seems like a good spot for HK, allows them to be a utility player at lowered expectations.

Regular Show pulling it's own cord after this season.

American Ninja Warrior will scale the obstacles again next summer.
