This was given to the Russians on last Friday. There are no excuses from the Russians at all.

Putin has been bombing US/Turkey backed rebels since they arrived, this wouldn't be anything new. In fact I think the reason they got shot down today was because enough was enough.
Russians are going to bomb the shit out of those Turkmen now.

And it won't be precision bombing either.
FYI - The Russians are hard-headed as fuck.
My wife works with them in the space industry. I'm sure most people know, we have Russians aboard with us on the International Space Station. When something happens like Space Debris coming into close contact with the Space Station, many times the US Side is telling them to use the thrusters to make sure it's avoided.... Except the Russians will not obey and say it's not worth it (indicating they don't think it's going to actually hit). We bend over while shitting bricks.
Same goes for all other kind of major calls. Mission control does most of the planning ahead of time behind the scenes. Apparently the Russians told the astronauts (instead of working with Mission Control / Planning) to basically say "Oh by the way, we are going home 2 weeks early" in a private email to the astronauts onboard.
Yeah, they are pushy, bitchey, and always think they are the boss. This will not bode well.
Russians are going to bomb the shit out of those Turkmen now.
Syrian civil war
In the Syrian civil war, Turkey reportedly helped to transport to the anti-government rebels a limited amount of FIM-92 Stingers.[42][43]
The same day that Turkish forces shot down a Russian jet for allegedly violating Turkey’s airspace, Syrian rebels affiliated with the Free Syrian Army published a video purporting to show their fighters blowing up a stationary Russian-made helicopter on YouTube.
The video shows Syrian rebels launching what arms analyst Elliot Higgins, who runs Bellingcat, a website for open-source analysis, identified on Twitter as a U.S.-made TOW (tube-launched, optically-tracked, wire-guided) missile at a helicopter sitting exposed in a field some distance away.
The First Coastal Division, the group that uploaded the video, said it destroyed the helicopter after forcing it to land with an earlier missile strike, according to Reuters. And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a watchdog group monitoring the conflict in Syria, told Reuters that at least 10 passengers evacuated from the helicopter after it landed, escaping the second missile strike that ultimately destroyed it. It’s not clear whether the crew was Russian or Syrian.
Russian military officials have confirmed that two of its Mi-8 helicopters were dispatched on a search and rescue mission for the pilots who parachuted from the Russian jet downed earlier on Tuesday, and that rebels destroyed one of the two helicopters. “During the operation, as a result of small-arms fire, one of the helicopters was damaged, and forced to make a landing on neutral territory,” Lieutenant-General Sergei Rudskoi told reporters on Tuesday.
One Russian soldier died in the incident, and “the downed helicopter was destroyed by mortar fire from territory controlled by armed gangs” Rudskoi said. It hasn’t been confirmed whether the video below depicts the helicopter referenced by Rudskoi or if it’s of a separate incident.
They can hold on to their Stingers for comfort when they are carpet bombed from high altitude.
- NBC News quotes anonymous U.S. defense officials saying that Turkish jets fired on the Russian plane “a matter of seconds” after it entered Turkish airspace. According to the unnamed official, the Russians “were in Turkish airspace only two to three seconds.” The U.S. military has officially confirmed that the Turkish pilots warned the Russians about 10 times in five minutes before firing, as the Russian aircraft flew close to the Turkish border.
Turkey certainly has helped ISIS a lot, buying oil from ISIS controlled territory, letting foreign fighters into Syria from Turkey, supplying small arms etc.
(See how Russia effectively wiped their bases off the map in 2 weeks)
If you weren't aware, there is a Kurdish terrorist group called the PKK which has been attacking Turkey for nearly 50 years now. You are sympathetic to the Kurds because they sided with America. In my eyes they they are just more of the same.

Its kind of shocking how bad the neocons fucked the middle east up just by tinkering in iraq. Talk about butterfly effect.
It seems like that tiny little "peninsula" of Turkey was put there for the sole purpose of causing violations of Turkish airspace.
