I wonder if this will alter climate for the world in some way

I can't really see how. It wasn't caused a super-volcanoe or melting icecap. Not enough trees will have been wiped out and it's not likely to affect ocean currents.

DAMN!:Q I would of craped in my pants if that was me.😱

And the first and last clip in the original post are really scary. Sad to see those 2 people get swept away in the first clip. In the third clip everyone on the beach had no chance.

That is some shite! Some serious serious sh!t. Did you guys see in the 2nd vid the water level got all the way up to the 2nd floor. If you can't swim or not paying attention you were f'd. That is some serious @#$%.

Is it just me or do the waves in these videos not seem powerful enough? I mean when there is a hurricane or storm, waves can get as high as the ones in these videos. Where are the HUGE wall of water waves that are 50+ feet high? The scary part, however, is the unexpectedness of it unlike a hurricane where you know it's coming.

Halos, remember that the wave above the surface is only a small part of the entire wave...the force behind these things is pretty amazing

just because they're not 100 feet high doesnt mean its not strong enough. water has a tremendour amount of power, no matter how high the water, especially water thats travelling at 100+ mph.

The Patong beach one...looks like part of two different footages. I'm not sure if it was the same beach, or even at the same time.

Pretty sure it's the same beach, but you're right, I don't believe it's the same time.

Yep, at first glance it doesn't look all that devastating. But then you think about all the people who cannot swim. And then about all the people who could swim, but were smashed into buildings, trees, cars and other debris at 80+ MPH.

Also, I'll bet the worst waves were not filmed.

I'm sure there's at least 1 security camera that caught the "big one" coming in. I remember seeing a Discovery Channel show about tidal waves and they had footage from an Hawaiian tidal wave that reached the top of a 10+ story building and wiped it out. Pretty damn scary.

man overboard, links are down, I repeat, links are down, everyone brace fpr impact...
no seriously, any mirrorrssrsss?

Thats a bunch of crap, no tidal wave 10 stories high hit hawaii since video filming. Im calling shens.
If a 9.0 earthquake only sent a 30-40 foot tidal wave this past week, how big a quake do you think is needed for a 10 story high tidal wave? Get your facts straight.

Do you read what you post? There is a huge difference between hurricane waves and tidal waves (the ones on the videos). Hurricanes DO NOT send waves like those on the videos to land. I have been through countless hurricanes so i know for a fact. Do some reading on google before you post your worthless dribble again.
