DHCP is off on my router, it has an IP address of 192.168.1.50. It's a Linksys WRT160N.

Windows firewall is off.

What is the IP Range of the SpeedTouch? Also, If you run your Linksys as an access point the network cable needs to come from your SpeedTouch and plug into one of the Linksys Ethernet ports, not the Internet in port.

On that webpage, Click proceed and then on the next page click, "all service ports".

Ya, it's completely set up I'm pretty sure. I have it set up now as speedtouch -> linksys -> pc and my roommate's laptop is connected to the wireless.

I don't know how to find the IP range, but if everything is working, then it should be within the range right?

And so far all the ports are green or "stealth". Not really sure what that means. It finished and they are all green, and it says passed.

Have your PC obtain an IP automatically, then see what IP you get when you Type Ipconfig in command prompt. Then try port forwarding to that IP address.

Ok that worked for some reason. It gave my pc an IP address of 192.168.1.64

Why would that work better than the one I had given it before? Should I change it to a static IP now, but change it to the one that was given to it?

Is there an option for Static DHCP reservation on the 516?

Yes now you can change the static IP to 192.168.1.64. Do this by going to Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Manage Adapter Settings. Then right click on your Ethernet adapter -> Properties. Then Select "Internet Protocol Version 4" and then press Properties and then enter the IP address there. The Default Gateway should be the IP address of your SpeedTouch... The IP that you enter into web browser to access the SpeedTouch's web interface. For DNS, I use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 which is Googles dns server service.

I might just leave them as automatic IPs, because the speedtouch remembers devices and it doesn't seem to matter if their IP changes, it just changes with them.

I also checked the xbox and the NAT is now open.

As long as everything is working fine, which it is, I think I will just leave everything alone.

Thanks for your help guys, I doubt I would have figured this out on my own.

Well if you don't set a static IP your Speedtouch will eventually change the IP's around and then it will not work. All you have to do then is just port forward to the new IP. Good Luck, glad I got to help.

If the 516 has Static DHCP reservation, map the IP you want to the MAC you want. Put these outside of the set DHCP range.

edit: Manual, here you go, http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=speedtouch%20516%20manual&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCQQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.technicolorbroadbandpartner.com%2Fgetfile.php%3Fid%3D3116&ei=YQdcT76QJeL00gH61-S2Dw&usg=AFQjCNHr74UcyND32MEwGYObU7Mz8yHsUA

Is that similar to yours?

Page 75, adobe page 83:

 Lease Time:
The time for which the DHCP client is allowed to use the assigned IP address:
Always give same address to DHCP clients:
Select this check box if you always want to use the same IP address for the
DHCP clients

Best of both worlds :)

Good luck!

When I access my router status page it says that it's internet IP is 192.168.1.64.

Am I SOL?
^^^^^ That is a private IP address so...........

You are behind another NAT router, either the apartment complex's, or the ISP's, so yes, you are SOL
