Dammit I didn't have him on my bingo card. Clearly he wasn't satisfied with last year's turnover rate. Going to surpass it by mid year at this rate.

He made sure Mr. Trump had markers to sign autographs, delivered messages to him in the White House residence and, over the weekend, ensured that the clocks in the White House residence were adjusted for daylight-saving time.

they're going to have to do some serious headhunting to fill those shoes

Apparently something in the background check. Perhaps he misrepresented something.

Either way it's a bit scary that this guy was so close to the president for so long and they are just finding this now. By report he was escorted off the premises and not even allowed to get his stuff. Suggested whatever it was, it's quite serious.

So this is how they have fun in the WH?

For months, he has played a practical joke on unwitting staffers by handing them a note, “signed” by Trump, whose signature McEntee has perfected. The note usually gives the staffer a hard time about something, or an “atta-boy” for all of the work they are doing. Only later does McEntee reveal that he wrote it, as other staffers usually start laughing. Many hang on to the notes as keepsakes. “For context, it’s about having fun,” one former White House staffer hastened to explain. “Not trying to undermine the U.S. government.”

lol DHS is apparently investigating him for "serious financial crimes" Guess that's why he was moved to an advisor for Trump's campaign. Seems that's a prerequisite for the job.

CNN is reporting the reason for his firing was investigation by Homeland Security for "serious financial crimes". This is crazy.

<gop Logic>
Serious financial crimes only exist because of all those silly regulations that are a burden to the economy and keeps us from being competitive

Apparently the guy is like 27 years old and is already up to his neck in white collar crime. Wow!

See Trump is draining the swamp in the White House! He is doing what he said he would do MAGA!

Just ignore he added to the swamp that was/is his never ending campaign.

Homeland Security? Secret Service is under that department -- is it their investigation?
Could be any number of things that would still put it under DHS. Identity Crimes, bank fraud. Cyber crimes.

I can't help but wonder if that story earlier I posed about him leaving notes everywhere where he had "perfected" Trump's signature doesn't have some kind of role here. Had to be brought up for a reason.
