I still can't help but wonder why, with all the other allegations that came up during the campaign of all different sorts, this non issue rates Trump's lawyer potentially getting himself disbarred at minimum for something that didn't happen. $130,000 out of pocket to prevent the fake story from coming out and damaging Trump (his words why he did it) in the face of all the other allegations already on the surface.

LOL the very idea that Cohen paid this pornstar out of his own pocket without even telling his client about it may well be one of the most ludicrous lies I have ever heard in my life. You'd have to be at sub-moronic IQ levels to believe such a thing.

Remember the days when Obama caused the righties to lose their minds just because he wore a tan jacket in the Oval Office?

My my how standards have lowered.
If I had been Obama when that happened, I would've rented a full blown John Adams costume to wear in the WH.

NEW YORK (AP) — Stormy Daniels, the porn star whom President Donald Trump’s personal attorney acknowledges paying $130,000 just before Election Day, believes she is now free to discuss her alleged sexual encounter with Trump.

A manager for the adult film actress told The Associated Press on Wednesday that Daniels believes Trump’s lawyer invalidated a non-disclosure agreement by publicly discussing the payment.

I doubt she cares. They haven't really been living as man and wife the entire time. I doubt this is a really big shock for her but maybe she realizes she doesn't need him now to have her own wealth at this point.

OK, imagine you are a graduate from the lowest ranked law school period. Heck you didn't even to that great then. But now you can give up all and get your crummy license removed. How about 20 mil in an offshore account?

I'll await some actual legal analysis but man...if Cohen broke the NDA.....lol.

I suppose this is one way to move off the Rob Porter scandal.

I bet the Melania will not be pleased....

Here's what I wrote about the Trumps the day before the inauguration:
I think Melania is Trump's ace in the hole. When Trump screws up royally, a high profile divorce will bury all other news. I think Trump could drive millions of Americans into internment camps and no one would take their eyes off the divorce coverage, not even the people in the camps.

I think Trump would want to save a divorce for the day after Mueller's report comes out.

It does offer a denial for Trump although one might ask John Edwards how that worked for him.

The difference is that Trump has the support of the religious right and look how they stood by Benny Hinn's divorce. I think IW might be on to something here.

Since all of trump's cronies are willing to bat for him, does this mean his long time bodyguard also lied about Trump turning down the hookers while in Russia?

I'd love to see that character take a live lie detector test administered by a 3rd party.

I actually think Trump paid her off in such a way not because it could be so damaging if it came out and not because there's more to the story but because he's deeply embarrassed about this one.

I believe that will happen when we start seeing Trump's base say they will not vote for him a second time. In other words it will not happen. The weird thing is between this and all the crap about Russia, anyone else could run against Trump and win but I doubt the Democrats will find anyone who can lead them to victory.

I could see a democrat who is not hated win the next election without a direct attack on Trump but stating they are against any collusion with foreign governments.

Ding ding ding ding!!! There's a theory going around that Trump didn't give a shit about hiding this from the public--he might be more concerned with what's in his pre-nup with Melania, and what her future divorce lawyers might do with this.

The democrats didn't have any reasonably viable candidate up until the middle of the primaries in 08. They had "no one that could possibly beat H Dubs" until far later into their primaries, in 92. Bill Clinton and Obama were very much nobodies until well into the process, and they went on and ROFLstomped their oppponents.

The dems had better candidates than the Pubs, yet again, but this country is sick and diseased, so it looks like, well...maybe you are right? If the country is truly going down the river of the sick and diseased, then maybe they won't have a proper candidate? Dems tend to promote rational, viable candidates. Republicans pretty much tossed out that option when they gave Sarah Palin a national audience. I mean, that last clown car of candidates in 16? Seriously?
