Trump would take foreign help in election and not tell FBI: "They have information. I think I'd take it"

I've already pointed out numerous instances from Borking, to eliminating the filibuster (in part), to sitting on judicial nominations, to not convicting someone who was shown to have lied under oath. In each case the Dems took the first strike and then acted surprised when retaliation occurred later. "But you replied to an insult with punches." There is no good faith "negotiating over the future of a union" anymore. It's war and not one the GOP started.

Actually the GOP did start it. They took it from the Tit-for-Tat game that has a steady state to the escalation game, which always leads to violence.

Enough with this feckless snowflake Bork shit. The last of the Nixon faithful didn't even have full republican support back then, which was appropriate. Republicans clinging to their misplaced butthurt is no justification for stealing Supreme Court seats, and you're a fool to validate it.

Such a shill. None of that has anything to do with the topic at hand other than the "Fuck you, Libtards!" attitude shared by Trump & nearly all GOP'ers.

You shouldn't start fights if you're not willing to see it to the end.

Yes, particularly when the person in question worked for an allied govt. There's no issue of hidden obligation because he was paid in full for his work. The Dems don't owe Steele anything, which can't be said for Trump's relationship with Russian interests.

One was paid for and disclosed and legally obtained, one was stolen goods that weren’t paid for AND concealed.
Again context is important.
One was from a foreign guy who worked for a friendly foreign power, the other was from employed active agents from a hostile foreign power.
Context is important

I'm not a Dem, and my predilection is for finishing fights, not starting them.

You, as a supposed American, shouldn't be defending criminals and traitors. If you're on the same side as Mitch McConnell, well there's your clue. He even admitted his "Biden Rule" bullshit over Garland was a complete show, by saying he'd fill a 2020 vacancy. Don't preach to us about bad faith, your posts here (and others) prove you don't know wtf you are talking about.

The whole problem is that, by all appearances, you actively seek the end. Read: The destination of such escalation.

I continue to be amazed to live in a world of relative comfort in which those involved seek to end it. In this case, for petty tribalism.

My "relative comfort" wouldn't be even impaired by GOP control, much less "ended." It always amazes me that folks on the left can talk about "class warfare" and what they want to do to the well-off in great detail, and somehow expect the targets will simply sit back and take it without complaint or any resistance whatsoever.

Yep, according to the OP the country needs to be destroyed because another party had the unmitigated gall to deny Bork a SCOTUS seat and impeached an obviously corrupt president. Never says when the dept will be repayed. Sumpin, sumpin about letting Bill get away with murder (lying about a blow job) = Republican malfesance basically forever. Did I get that right?

Oh, we expect the wealthy to fight tooth and nail as they have always done. The wealthy aren't going to give up the fruits of other people's labor without a fight.

Those 'well-offs' are gonna wish they negotiated in good faith rather than escalate to violence, when the have-nots decide to start eating them.

Good luck to them. There are more have-nots than conservative elites. They can't strongarm this without completely rigging the system into a kleptocracy like Putin's Russia. I love how you always are super concerned with what the Democrats do but never the Republicans.

I seem to recall Trump parading Bill Clinton’s victims at one of the debates, essentially nullifying any attacks against Trump over the Access Hollywood tape. I like to picnic on the hill Clinton died on.

just wow if you actually believe that.

If Republicans think a law is stupid (foreign interference, Hatch etc), they don't have to obey it.

And an extra helping of b-b-b-b-b-b-but Hillary and b-b-b-b-b-b-b-but Obama.

What's with the deflection? I never said GOP control is the issue here. The demand is impeachment for Trump's solicitation and utilization of foreign interference in our elections. Both in 2016, and now also 2020 as he has clearly and publicly indicated he would do.

Using foreign governments to meddle in United States internal matters, with something as crucial to our democracy as free and fair elections, is an escalation beyond the pale. If such criminal actions result in lawlessness, and such lawlessness cannot be corrected through elections, then the next obvious step in escalation is to drop civil discourse altogether. To use force.

Where this escalation leads is the very subject we have been speaking of. What bothers me about this discussion is that you are either in denial, or cheering it on. You're telling me you wouldn't be bothered by civil unrest throughout the nation? There is no place in the CONUS we could hide to escape the consequence of such actions. Do you remember the casualty forecast for a North Korea EMP attack? Similar idea. Are you feeling lucky?

Impeachment is not for changing GOP control. It is for stopping a criminal. Standing by and FOR such criminal activity is going to cause a lot of problems.

Bring back the electric chair for traitor Trump. MAGA

Firing Squad for Treason.

Good luck! The one lesson Republicans learned from Nixon is that if the party is united you can do whatever the fuck you like, laws be damned.

You've got an unaccountable president openly violating the emoluments clause and obstructing justice and a senate majority leader who is using his and his wife's position for corrupt purposes as well as house members using their powers help a corrupt president and to hurt political opponents. Meanwhile at the state level you have Republicans doing everything in the power to rig elections in order to maintain power.

If someone who knows history better than I do can show me a more corrupt party in our history I'd be interested in it and how it was removed.

I can't think of one.

I watched rick Santorum tonight on CNN, essentially say, that's not what cheeto said or what he meant.
Santorum is an effing deplorable. He has a smirk just like Martin Shkreli.

View attachment 7353View attachment 7354

I'd love to bitch slap the smirks off of those faces, with a baseball bat.

Notice for Team Treason and those that vote for them:
