2018 didn't have a re-election of Trump.

When people showed up to vote for Trump in 2016 - they were there for Trump.... not for the establishment.

Race polling is pretty steady. Certainly compared to 2016. Generic ballot numbers not moving much in the major surveys. Few undecideds. Likely vastly lower 3rd party vote. None of this reminds me of the last presidential election.

Anyone that doesn't already believe that they are as bad would never come to that conclusion logically, not in a million years. It's pure motivated reasoning. Nothing more, nothing less.

I see it every day with disenfranchised conservatives. Can't deny Republicans are garbage, but my daddy told me liberals hate America as soon as I could talk. Plus they literally eat babies. At least Trump doesn't eat babies.

So watch what the polls do as we approach November. Millions of people will succumb to the cognitive dissonance as the the possibility of voting for a baby eating Democrat becomes more of a reality, and Biden will fall into a dead heat with Trump.

Take the OP for example: he heartily agrees with the notion that the reason we don't hear from Biden is because there is a huge effort to hide his waning competence. Never mind the fact that Trump can't read, can't speak, can't follow a train of thought, and that was before he suffered a series of mini-strokes. Oh but those strokes never happened. Just more conspiracy against him. No proof. Need proof for accusations against Trump. But Biden, heh, he'll accept that Biden is retarded with no proof. But I digress...

If Biden loses it will be because his campaign spent too much time attacking Trump’s character and not campaigning on a platform other than "we aren't Trump." Everyone knows Trump is an asshole and most people who vote for him don't care about his character, yet that's what Democrats keep pointing to.

Voter suppression - sabotaging the post office, trying to limit access to intelligence of Russian interference in the election. Trump tying up polling locations. Sending minions to over whelm polling locations when they already voted.

Trump, Fox and other right wing outlets continuing to use Russian propaganda against Biden

They also don't care Trump mishandling COVID resulted in 10's of thousands dying that didn't have to. Can't really explain that one.

While she is busy condemning going out in public - she is busy getting hair appontments without a mask. The ol' classic - do as I say, not as I do.... because I am above you. I can do this because I'm a class above you.... you see?

While she is busy advocating calling in a congressional emergency for the postal service - which has been debunked as far as helping Trump - she continues to find it low priority for stimulus checks, unemployment, and eviction protection to be passed... But for some reason, you partisanly think that her actions there are reasonable.... why? why do you continue to stand beside a GIANT piece of human shit that continues to take a dump on the middle-class and the homeless that encompass her shit city?
 
I think Biden has a chance and I hope that he does win but he has two major issues that might sway the election towards Trump:

1. His being seen as senile or starting to have dementia. Both candidates are far too old for my liking (for the most important job in the world why are our options two guys approaching 80? How in touch are they with the modern world?) but people are worrying about Biden’s mental capacity rightly or wrongly and if he has dementia and he has to disprove that. Personally I don’t think he does, I just think he’s 77 and like most people that age isn’t as quick and sharp as they used to be. Trumps loud mouth seems to overcome that hurdle for him although he may be suffering the same we just don’t see it, but Biden absolutely has to prove that his age isn’t an issue.

2. The riots and "peaceful protests". He’s been delicately dancing around the issue but every night there’s pictures of people burning down buildings, teargas, hurling rocks, guys shooting people vigilante style, CHAZ, the idea of defunding the police, and just general chaos. This doesn’t help Biden, the center will move towards Trump (which is odd because Trump more than anyone else throws fuel on that fire) the more this keeps occurring. Biden will need to reassure voters that when elected he can somehow help to resolve this and get things back to being peaceful.

I have no idea if he can convince voters (and the center in particular) on these two. To do so he’ll have to be seen though and right now his campaign seems to be drowned out by other events happening. The biggest stage to do so will be debating Trump. If he backs out of that for any reason it will be a death knell on his campaign and all but assured 4 more years of Trump.

It’s not propaganda, what part do you disagree with? Those are the two things that I think could hurt Biden the most and that he needs to address, just my opinion. And I’ve lurked for a while but oddly enough felt the need to register to give some love advice to a 26 year old who hasn’t had sex yet but had questions about it, for some reason I felt like offering my advice. 😀

Dems offered to meet halfway, Republicans shot that down to. It's because Trump doesn't want any aid to go to blue states and cities. How does he get away with this? I love how a city with some of the highest price per square foot real estate in the country is all shit. Because that's what people pay top dollar for. Seriously. I hear this all the time about new york. Pre Covid. Has its problems, but to call one of the most dynamic cities with some of the most coveted real estate in the world as basically a shithole screams right wing ignorant propaganda as well.

Yeah I’ve never understood the argument that SF or NYC are "shitholes". They are two of the most desirable places in the world to live and like you said has problems but so does literally every other place. And I don’t get the hate on Chicago either and people saying that it’s so dangerous. Per capita it’s definitely not the most dangerous city in America but people love to advertise any time there’s a shooting there and say "see!" but they ignore the shootings in their own backyard.
