There was never going to be a landslide in popular vote for Trump, that is impossible. Most of the metropolitan areas were leaning heavy to Hillary and California votes weren't in yet, they were most likely going heavy Hillary. It was stunning to see Trump up by a million before the Cali votes came in though.

It's foolish to hope the new President is an absolute failure. Like I said my expectations are low but I hope his economic vision is successful. I hoped the same thing in Kansas after Brownback was elected, however the economy and state budget have been a shit show since his tax policies were implemented.

He's currently projected to lose by a bit over 1% in the popular vote, which would make it the second biggest margin of popular vote defeat for a winning candidate in history.

It is socialized medicine. It should be nationalized. Our absolutely wretched health care is not even in the top 20 in the world but it remains number one in cost. For fock's sake, there are working models all around the world and yet here we are. Trump and his followers want to move away from socialized health care..... this means the lower middle class and poor will eventually be reduced to the emergency room for their free care. Ridiculous.

To raise the average lifespan of a populace, you start with the newborns, infants, and children. I suspect to increase the average intelligence/education level of a populace, you should similarly start at the bottom, not the top.
