Trump will not attend WH Correspondent's Dinner

Ronald Reagan was the last president to skip the dinner, according to the Reagan Library.

In 1981, the newly elected president decided he wouldn't attend because he was recovering from a gunshot wound in a failed assassination attempt on his life less than a month earlier.

Media is American People's enemy, of course including Donald. Trump just has no way to eat dinner with WH's correspondents, most of them are his enemy in his mind anyway.

I thought Reagan was shot on year #2?

Hey, maybe, jus' maybe, when considering his self-inflicted ego, his shallow ass tender feelings, his narcissism, his pettiness, his rather pompously inflated opinion of himself, his distaste for an argument that he can't win, his closets full of skeletons that he doesn't want anyone to EVAR peek into and how he fully understands that all he is and will ever be is an fragile image that he carefully shaped for himself, Trump has rationalized himself into believing that for one thing, his presence would have given legitimacy and luster to the event and it was his way of denying them that priviledge "to get one back on them" and for the other, he wanted to teach them all a lesson that if you mess with The Don you either get spitefully ignored, fired an/or interminably sued.

This in order to deny himself the fact that if he went in there he'd be humiliated and denigrated in such a way that he would have an epic nervous breakdown that he (his image, remember?) wouldn't be able to recover from.

For the fact that he's never shown an ounce of humility or the ability to be self-depricating in any way, shape or form makes it fairly obvious that he is either so insecure, so afraid of exposing his true self to himself or so full of himself that he can't stand the thought of anyone looking down their noses at him.

Meh... None of those cunts deserve a dinner.

They should just let as many filthy peasants that will fit in the place enjoy the food and booze.

It's all going sideways for the Donald, entirely as the result of his own words & deeds. Calling the media the enemy of the people has Bannon's Alt-Right post-truth arrogance stamped all over it. He sees himself as a revolutionary whose first task is to burn it all down, starting with the Media.

I read it differently, most of his supporters are happy he's telling the biased media to piss off and like me are happy he's not going to grovel to them at the White House Liberal Correspondents Dinner.

Blah blah blah. Trump has so many faults yet the left wasn't able to defeat him in the general election because of their weak candidate. How weak does that make the other side look if they lost to someone with that many faults? So weak. So sad, Too bad.

Aw, the poor baby doesn't like it when people tell unpleasant truths about him, so he's hiding from them.

He's admittedly certain to be roasted at that dinner, but this retreat doesn't help him or the Republican party. It reinforces the notion that he's a thin-skinned coward who enacts hateful policies, but can't even stand up for them unless he's in a safe space where everyone agrees with him. It gives the media more control over the message and shows that the Republicans are led by spineless, frightened people.

Like you're not in a safe space echo chamber right now. Looks like someone is projecting without realizing it again.
