It's pretty hard to have watched the debates without listening to Hillary. She was well practiced and you could tell that what she said was well researched, focus group tested, rehearsed and insincere. Tough to tell if some of what she said were her private views or her public positions. Unlike yourself i didn't spend much time only reading Huffington Post, Talking Points Memo, Nation, Mother Jones or Salon. We all have our own sources.

That's quite remarkable coming from somebody who's been taken in by by Trump, a serial liar & bullshit artiste having no equal. There has never been a reliable source claiming Trump was more honest than Clinton.

Well, unless you believe the Donald...

"I know Wall Street. I know the people on Wall Street.... I'm not going to let Wall Street get away with murder. Wall Street has caused tremendous problems for us."

Or how about Donald slamming Clinton for her Wall Street ties and Goldman speeches?

Revolving door continues. No "change" here.

The rabid anti-Hillary have forgotten the very ads Il Douche was running just a few months ago, targeting Hillary's Wall Street chums at Goldman Sachs, hell he even included a pic of Lloyd Blankenfein in one of them IIRC.

I love that people who are all for this are the ones who mocked Hope and Change before. lol too funny

Most of them voted for him, I'm not sure what there is to be sorry about. They are getting exactly what they voted for.

Agree that she isn't fit to serve in such a position, but.. she can probably do less damage at the VA than she could at one of the major cabinet positions (State, Defense, even Interior).

I doubt it greatly. The VA is an extremely hot seat that is front and center in the media's and public eyes. Obama appointed two apparently excellent people, both of whom crashed and burned. It is not a job to appoint a poser to-the negative blowback will come directly to the President.

Then again I could be wrong-Trump's cabinet appointments so far have been almost universally terrible and apparently based on a "rewards from the throne" mentality.
Trump should follow the time honored pattern for people like Palin-appoint them ambassador to a nice, quiet friendly country.

Somehow, I don't see her spending $20 million on art and sculptures like the VA admins have done over the last ten years but hey, maybe we'll find out.

And i doubt if she's going to cover up veteran deaths or die waiting for appointments on a secret list. I'm no fan of hers, but after the Obama term the bar can't be set any lower.

psst.. did you hear about the sports arena she started building in Wasilla before securing the land rights. It cost a small town AT LEAST an additional 1.3 million dollars, according to the Wall Street Journal. Just wait until she's in control of a huge organization like the VA that has billions at its disposal.

The best she can do there is to pass Bristol around to service members on leave. At least the ones she isn't already involved with.

When I look at posts like this, I see some fairly serious mental depravity wrapped in the thin veneer of a "joke". The internet's major flaw is that it gives a platform for some really perverse people who live in a bubble of partisan hatred. I'm sure they think of themselves as being "good" people and reasonably intelligent. But damn, the mentality on display here is incredibly twisted and needs to be called out for what it is.

I kinda prefer the idea of a civilian leading the DoD, not a soldier, but it's otherwise hard to argue against Mattis' qualifications and he seems to be well-respected.

just because I thought it'd be interesting, I updated the OP and rearranged the Cabinet offices by where they are in the Presidential order of succession.
