it's not that they're not liberals, it's that some are a mix of unqualified, racist, and brimming with conflicts of interest.

They are only that mix if you're a liberal. There's only an issue if he picks someone who's objectively unqualified, not just someone deemed unqualified by the frothing at the mouth lefties because they dared saying something not PC or dare disagree with liberal positions.

I don't feel that way about someone like Bannon.

I understand where you're coming from, but it doesn't really matter how you (or I) feel about the appointees. Unless there's an actual objective reason why someone is unqualified for the position or otherwise poses specific problems, then there's no problem with the appointment. The left having problems with a lot of the appointments doesn't mean jack squat.

Let's wait and see what happens before declaring that the sky is falling. Keep your head...it's not the end of the world.

Huh? WTF are you talking about? I was commenting on the fact that you said "he's not shy about replacing people who aren't getting the job done" I'm saying that that is not how gov't works. He can't just replace people that were voted into position because he feels they "aren't getting the job done". Gov't is not a business nor a reality TV show.

This President is likely to push traditional limits imo.

As long as he keeps plucking them out of the Senate, this strategy works for me.
I was thinking the same thing. Unfortunately, the Alabama Republican party will have no problem replacing Sessions with someone equally bad, and most probably worse. So I don't think it's going to dilute/ or change the majority in the senate. Depends though on how a state replaces a Senator that was holding office.

The only rumored pick that seems sane (aside from Preibus) is Romney for SoS. The others ... I mean Sessions was rejected from a federal court appointment in the '80s for being too racist. I imagine there will be a bit of a confirmation fight on that one.

Gotta love the leftist freak out over this stuff.

I mean, it's not like he is appointing a guy who attended a racist church for 20 years and hung around domestic terrorists, or a woman whose greatest mentor was a kkk grand wizard. Wouldn't that just be shocking!

If hillary got through with byrd, then sessions should be no problem.

Romney is not sos. I am betting that was a rumor from his camp.

Well, Byrd was never nominated so your comparison is apparently pointless.

Agree, Romney is still a rumor. Sad that the safest choice is only that.

Oh good, a guy with a history of floating that people might be race traitors for AG. That seems like a good pick!

The Flynn pick is impressively batshit, by the way. I have to say that I never thought I would see the day where the US National Security Adviser was recently on the payroll for a Russian propaganda network before taking the job. That's not even getting into all the other insane shit he says and does.

Can anyone articulate a coherent theme behind these picks other than white racial resentment and people who were nice to Trump?

Inevitably, it will be responded to by something along the lines of "well, that's just the MSM and nothing they say is true". Which is almost identical to how flat-earthers treat NASA.

Stuff that you might find at the bottom of a swamp?

You mean like these were the ones that were plugging the swamp? So now that we pull them and put them at the top, the rest of the swamp can get drained. Smart man - I should do this for my clogged kitchen sink.
