It is good insight into how he views Trump! It's just a shame that his view is completely fucking insane where he believes that there's some conspiracy to brainwash America into hating conservatives.

Surely you would agree that people who think that don't have a strong grasp on reality, no?
Whatever. I believe it's a fairly accurate description of how many think about Trump...whether that be crazy or not in your esteemed opinion. Liberals generally struggle at understanding conservatives...always have, always will.

That's pretty ironic too considering boomerang just showed that he has literally zero understanding of liberals. Do you think conservatives struggle to understand liberals?

Also, do you agree with his view that there is a conspiracy between the education system and the media to demonize conservatives? If not, do you think people who hold that view have a strong grasp on reality?

Excellent post! I wish I could be half as articulate.

Yes yes, very fancy way of saying he's glad to have found a kindred spirit in thoughts about indigenous looking mexicans and such.

Not terribly difficult considering liberals can usually understand the real clear data on racial resentment.

Don't be petty. It seems awful personal the way you came after DSF for his praise of that post.
Don't worry, I have a thick skin. I told him exactly what I thought of him a few months ago and he didn't take it very well.

Keep in mind people judge by the company you keep, eg trump/buckshot/boomerang. None known for any sort of honesty or integrity. Would you say too soon to add you to that list?

Yes, you truly wounded me! Was this before your meltdown where you said that people being mean to you here was emotionally unbalancing you?

Not as much as liberals having trouble understanding conservatives. There's been a fair amount of research on this. You should check it out.

Also, do you agree with his view that there is a conspiracy between the education system and the media to demonize conservatives?
No. Not a conspiracy per se, more of an echo chamber mentality gradually created over the years among the like-minded. And for the record, boomerang never said there was a conspiracy...that's all you falsely framing his position (willful or not, this is a rather common problem for you it seems).

If not, do you think people who hold that view have a strong grasp on reality?
I think that they have legitimate reasons for mistrust.

There need not be a conspiracy, sir. Liberals are running those industries and their liberal ideals naturally seep into what they do, its human nature.

I think part of the problem is the aspect of the leftist/progressive personality that takes things so literally. Conservatives can hear Trump say things and can understand that he is talking like their buddy on the job site. We get the impression of what he's getting at, we understand that he's inserted some hyperbole and that it actually is rooted in a form of humor which evidently only conservatives can understand. We also understand that when Trump says he wants to help everybody that he is sincere and that he truly means it. We also understand that he does not have a political background and as such hasn't put the proper filters in place although he seems to be learning the ropes.
So here you complain about liberals taking some of the terrible, horrible things Trump has said for their literal words instead of reading in to them through some form of rose colored glasses.

He eventually learned to shut up? Saying to reporters, “If I had a son he would look like Trayvon'' is shutting up? He's helped fuel the fire. The question is did he blurt out what he was thinking at the time or was it calculated. I'm not willing to make a determination that is was calculated but I do repeatedly hear how smart he is. What conclusions can them be drawn?
And here's you bitching about Obama's comment to a reporter about empathizing with what happened to Trayvon.
I know some of you helped me, so who's going to pitch in to help me pay those taxes?

President Obama: 'If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.'

My business hasn't been open all that long and money is a little tight. So, it's time to step up to the plate and help me pay those taxes. You helped before, because our Dear Leader tells me that you made it happen. So dig deep and help a brother out now will you?

As an aside, I really like the firefighter analogy. It's something that even a fourth grader can understand. This is important so his base can grasp just how wonderful he is. He was lowering his intellect to appeal to them, right? He doesn't really think at this level does he?
And here's you taking Obama's "you didn't build that" comment out of context and freaking out.

You have a history of taking every little thing Obama has said, blowing it out of proportion and out of context, and then freaking out. And now you say progressives should NOT take Trump at his exact words because it's overreacting. I will help pay for the operation to remove your head from your ass if you need help.

It's just a prank, bro.

And to be fair, nobody's quite figured what trump meant by "certain areas" and "you know what I'm talking about".

Hmm, seems like people are people eh? I touched on that in a post within the past 10 days or so and have never said I was above emotions that humans experience. If I promise to get the operation will you front me the money?

People who think everyone else are assholes or otherwise lack virtue just like they finally admit to are typically wishful thinkers.

From that link:

"He opposes abortion rights and regulations on tobacco, for instance. But he also belongs to a small, fringe, ultra-conservative and conspiracy-laden group called the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS). Among other things, this group decries evidence-based medicine, Medicare, and Medicaid, plus it has peddled discredited, dangerous notions including that vaccines cause autism."

Yeah screw that guy.

This is clearly a hand off to establishment authoritarians, shame on Il Douche if he really goes with this guy. C'mon Trump, you've already done good with Mattis and oddly enough, Pompeo (don't care for some of his politics, but he's smart) - ditch this prick and show us we're all wrong, that merit still matters. Being anti-establishment would mean not pulling another Jim Inofe situation, yes? Quit letting Mitch McConnell hold your balls in his little turtle hands.

I agree. Carson is a bit squirrely with the claim that Pyramids were filled with grain etc... I'm not a fan of Carson for any position.

I personally believe we'll see a lot of turnover during his administration.
Turnover is one of his middle names. The other is bankruptcy.

My feeling is that Carson is a joke to anyone who really knows him.

I don't want to be too hard on Carson -- the man is clearly a medical genius and has done things I couldn't even dream of... I just don't see how the hell he's even remotely qualified to run HUD.

Agree. A very questionable choice imo.
