On Feb. 21, Maine's Democratic governor, Janet Mills, publicly upbraided Donald Trump over his transgender policies.

Here's what happened after that. Out of the blue, the Trump administration canceled a contract that allowed parents in the state to apply for Social Security numbers for their newborns by simply checking a box on a form at the hospital—the way parents in all 50 states have done for decades, as the Social Security Administration has said.

The change meant that new parents would have to bring their infants to one of only eight Social Security field offices in Maine, sometimes by traveling for hours, exposing the newborns to infectious diseases in public.

People should take their civic responsibility of voting more seriously. Your voting choices ultimately matter, and a lot of people treat it more like a team sport than something that can have very serious outcomes.

Trump won the popular vote.
Also, it appears that the decision has been reversed. People in Main can check the box again.

Your system is flawed because it doesn’t provide the opportunity for the government to confirm that the baby is white and therefore worthy of a social security number.

I'll go ahead and answer for you, Trump got more votes than Harris, that means he won the popular vote. There is no ambiguity, there is no contrived logic that allows you to work around that fact, nor can you create some new definition of winning the popular vote. 50% + 1 makes the grade.

Still not a majority of the votes cast because plurality!= Majority. Words have meanings.

The only meaning here is votes cast for Harris or Trump. The 2% they didn't get were throwaway's, they don't count in the Harris/Trump race.
Trying to come up with some sort of logic that diminishes Trump is a foolish waste of time. He won the election, he's the President of the United States, get over it.
