Trump unaware his NSA was a foreign agent

Actually, I think there is another way to look at it, that conservatives are really protecting a much larger basket of moral concerns that liberals are. Liberals are concerned mainly about justice and equality and so are conservatives but to a lesser degree. They are also concerned about group cohesion and the ethical values embodied in their particular group, things like respect for authority, group allegiance, law and order. What will happen to the US from a conservative perspective is liberals bring chaos and anarchy to the table, destruction of religious values, respect for authority, etc. For conservatives, immoral liberals will destroy the country so their resistance to losing Trump is a moral issue of saving the country with other concerns about him falling farther down the list. Believe me, there are many so called liberals who if in power would cause all that to happen. The fear of an authoritarian right creates an authoritarian left and I think we feed that by demonizing them like they demonize us. It is much easier to destroy than to build and I think, a big mistake to dismiss all of their concerns.

Er, aren't you the one running around saying that conservatives have a "brain defect"?

Jesus fucking Christ.

This is the national security adviser. The person who is supposed to be at the forefront of US national security at every level. Trump hired him while not even realizing he had to register as the agent of a foreign power.

The total incompetence is simply unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable.
Dude, the Turkish government?

These turds ooze incompetence and do so much damage to the reputation of the U.S. It's ironic in a sorta horrible way that Trump talked so much about gov't officials and politicians doing such "bad deals" and being "so stupid" all these years, yet this entire time Trump has just been a tool of other people's agendas and frankly just a total chump.

You didn't really expect anyone associated with Trump to work for a semi-ethical government, like a democracy, did you? Look at Paul Manafort, who managed the campaign of a Ukrainian head of state who fled after stealing billions of dollars. Trump is a sleezebag to his core. Sleezebags tend to associate with other sleezebags.

As to the OP's incredulity, I would point out that Trump could well have known about this and just be lying now when he says he didn't know. In fact, I think that's a more likely scenario.

More pieces of the puzzle being fitted into place, with Trump and his other Russian loving/business partners-in-crime frantically attempting to bury, burn, shred and vaporize any and all of the pieces they can possibly find before they get found and fitted into the picture.

Maddow is making a pretty convincing argument in this regard, but then we all know how the Trump fanatics are feeling about anything that Trump is desperately trying to hide:

And here's a pretty interesting time line of Trump's Russian connection:

Sadly, yes, Trump lying about this is probably even money odds, at best.

He was paid 500,000 to be an agent of a foreign government (a foreign agent) who was aligned against the US. Mind blown. We had a foreign agent of a hostile government as the NSA. America first indeed.

Can anyone imagine the hysteria or the hearings or the calls for impeachment there would be if Obma did anything like this or one of the many things that Trump has done?

Hypocrisy.

But Trump is white Christian, he can do no wrong!

Shit. If he survives until the mid terms he's going to look like Melisandre from GOT.😱

Reminds me of this:

It get's even more fun. WH & Pence deny knowing about this.

But a Democrat on the oversight committee sent Pence a letter in November warning this of this very topic.

Oops.

Republicans were VERY concerned about Clinton's handling of classified information. Presumably they will be equally concerned about Trump having Flynn sit in on those classified briefings while on Turkey's payroll as that was literally giving classified information to the agent of a foreign power.

Hahaha, just kidding.

Surely the good Trump will do reversing the liberal direction into anarchy, chaos, and sin is enough to overlook a few peccadilloes?????? Surely good ends justify some means. And who can say. Turkey may have our best interests at heart, like Putin does, I'm sure.

Is there anything Trump, Pence, and the rest of this so-called administration won't lie about? So far, doesn't look like there is.

It's not just indirect connections, but here is yet another story published on a previously-published story regarding Trump's rather direct connections to the ultra-corrupt Azerbaijani Mammadov criminal family and, by direct proxy, the Iranian Republican guard. Yep--that Iranian Republican guard. Trump was at the RNC and on the campaign trail complaining about bad deals with Iran, Iranian missels, bad Iranian hombres, all the while funneling money directly to the Ayatollah.

what a fucking piece of shit Trump is--just like his willful supporters.

I'll say this though--it direct treason like paying off Iranians with weapons didn't end Reagan, I'm not sure if it will mean anything for Trump. I guess it depends on the willingness of republicans to stick up for this orange ventriloquist's dummy sitting at the head of their tent.

I like how the media is letting them hang themselves an inch at a time by saying "I don't remember that" or "I never said that" and then the next day quoting that and dropping the truth bombs. Hopefully at somepoint the carpet bombing of facts will eventually start to add up to functional momentum.

wow, that's interesting. You could see the writing on the wall over the last month, the WH openly "keeping Pence out of the loop" with all of these un-denied scandals. It was all about Pence being lied to, Pence wasn't in this meeting, we didn't tell Pence, etc--pretty much setting the stage for him to step into the seat when the inevitable SHtF.

So, now that Pence is in the "what did he know, and when did he know it" shitstorm, this is looking like a total house cleaning.

This treasonous bullshit is Dick Cheney and Iran all over again. Amazing that republicans don't seem to care. That magic (R) is really something.

Spicer not hosting a conference in a week. Trump cancelling all conferences this week. Yeah....somebody is buying this up by the case and trying to steady the ship....

Criticism and condemnation of the Administration is called for, but if you don't keep it factual, you might risk undermining your own point.
