“I do respect him. Well, I respect a lot of people, but that doesn’t mean I’ll get along with them,” Trump told O'Reilly.

O'Reilly pressed on, declaring to the president that “Putin is a killer.”

Unfazed, Trump didn't back away, but rather compared Putin's reputation for extrajudicial killings with the United States'.

“There are a lot of killers. We have a lot of killers,” Trump said. “Well, you think our country is so innocent?”

Trump added that he thinks the United States is “better” getting along with Russia than not.

“If Russia helps us in the fight against ISIS, which is a major fight, and Islamic terrorism all around the world, major fight. That’s a good thing,” Trump said. ISIS is another name for the Islamic State.

It wouldn't be the first time Trump has brushed aside the topic of Putin's political killings.

For a moment, you defenders of this prick, imagine if Obama or Clinton said this plainly and publicly. How quickly would you be demanding hearings, investigations, impeachment?

I'd ask you to be honest, but I know I can't get blood from stones.

I'm as cautious as anyone anywhere when it comes to making serious allegations with incomplete proof. But I can't find any way to explain Trump's consistent refusal to criticize Putin over anything, unless something more is going on.

Does anyone who does not believe there is collusion between Trump and Putin have an explanation for why Trump has never had an unkind word to say about him, going all the way back to early in the primary, and even now, refusing to condemn the murders he has ordered?

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if Trump actually has zero clue about any of Putin's past. I mean, it's not like any of that has any effect on The Apprentice's ratings, so even if someone tries explaining any of it to him he can safely zone out during the discussion.
