The plant wasn't going anywhere nor were the jobs. These idiot Trump supporters need a new Trump falsehood to latch onto and masturbate to.

It's amazing they have so little to go on that they make so much shit up already. Get ready for a long 4 years of Trumpist idiots like Buckshot blowing him for every tweet possible. Trump won't get a tenth of the shit done that he will tweet about. We now have our first Twitter president. Where that is how he justifies his idiocy.

I don't use Twitter and I'm not "blowing him" for every tweet, I am defending him from falsehoods. If you people stopped lying about everything Trump then I wouldn't say anything about it.

I understand you're still upset about President-Elect Trump ending the career of Madam Never Going to be President but you don't need to call me names. There is a cream for your butthurt

I don't think you get it. Earlier this year, Trump blatantly lied about Ford and their intentions with regard to jobs and product placement. As a result, the media went crazy, reported half the story (Ford betrays the US!) and the Ford Board of directors went into damage control mode.

This was political blackmail perpetrated by Trump, supported by our media who can seem to report truthfully.

This wasn't a 'good' thing. This was blackmail by the president elect using his bully pulpit, and Ford doing the smart thing and acquiescing rather than fight with an unprofessional liar for the next 4 years.
As i said about it. You are being "less than honest"

But this can only go on for so long.
At some point it will become really scary and the people will fell like a nation with no leader nor direction.
And when our enemies realize that too, all hell will break loose.
Um, no. People will shake their heads and go on with their lives.

I think the biggest baddest most epic thing Trump will ever build isn't "the wall". It's that bubble he's currently blowing for all of his followers to live in. I bet there's even going to be 250 TV stations where Trump gets to air programming of, by and for himself. You know, to keep the people informed with fair and balanced propaganda and such.

No jobs were saved.

When Ford moves production, jobs are not lost. The UAW has negotiated that IF a plant is closing the employees affected can use their seniority and move to other plants. In addition, many times buyouts or other concessions are offered to employees. Moving bonuses on the order of $15,000 to $25,000 can be offered (or more) depending on whether the employee has to move.

Second, Ford had not announced that the plant was closing. They announced that the Lincoln vehicle was going south - much like they announced for several vehicles in Michigan. What you fail to realize is that the Lincoln barely sells. The volume is tiny. Around 15,000 MKC's were sold last year. Compare that to 336,000 escapes from the same plant! Before that, they were made in Kansas City. Should we claim that all the jobs at that plant were lost when the move was made?

No.... this is more fuckery by the politicians and lack of truth by the media.
Johhhnnnnn made the claim that Escapes are moving south because the MKC's are staying in Kentucky. If that is true then this is a wash (or worse), if it isn't then we have production of a line of vehicle that was most likely going to end up in Mexico not going to Mexico. I have not been able to verify that.

I'm aware that the plant wasn't closing, Trump was mistaken or sloppy about that.

Building 15,000 vehicles in the USA is better than building them in Mexico, wouldn't you agree? Nobody has promoted this as earth shattering so please try and keep that in mind.

Those ~15,000 annual vehicles aren't going to build themselves and since they will be built in the USA American workers will be involved when they weren't going to be. This is good news.

We just need to find out if the Escapes are now going to move to Mexico after 2019.

At least he will be President and not Hillary. Keep throwing useless drivel like this for 4 years if it makes you feel better.

Actually it does. ;)

Picking away at Trump's many flaws, flaws that are 120% real by the way, is food for the soul and a good reminder that no matter how Trump is re-branded, he's still the same guy before and after he got elected.

I've noticed when Obama got elected/re-elected the shoe was on the other foot and if I recall correctly, you had a really great time doing what I'm now doing to Trump, right?

So cut me some slack why don't ya's, cuz it'll be your turn again in four short years. ;)

You don't need Twitter to read every Trump post you moron. You've been defending his Twitter post for the majority of this thread fool. And much of his social media outbursts are reported by the media. Now that we have that breaking news out of the way.

Now that you have been carrying Trump's water in this thread and looking the part of a fool, you should understand the conundrum of carrying an ass to water. You just can't make him drink.

Over the next four years we will fight Trump's racism, ignorance, bigotry, narcissism, misogyny, general idiocy, thin-skinned reactionary behavior, boorishness and stupidity. Supporting your candidate's incompetence will not be as easy as you think. We are playing the long game, not the short game of Trump throwing you reactionary pieces of red meat. Just because you get your rocks off on alt right oppression of other people doesn't mean the world will stand by and let it all happen.

I've seen Trump's core supporters and they aren't college educated so when their jobs evaporate I wonder if they'll continue to support him?

They'll probably blame Silicon Valley liberals (aka Asians, Jews, etc) for automating them out of the shitty job they thought Trump's protectionism would bring to America.

Good way to show your contempt for working men and women.

Yeah, damn those fucking people with shitty jobs!

Hey I resemble that remark.:D Will Trump use the atrocities of WW2 and the government's use of Japanese-American internment camps to justify me having to register because I'm not quite white?

As a bona fide Christian I can tell you that the hateful spirit that spews forth from the right and big religion is not of God.

Human labor is being rendered largely obsolete by the forces of Capitalism & technological progress. That's so obvious that you can't see it. Our dependency on jobs as a way to distribute goods & services is also being rendered obsolete in the process.

If we want jobs, the only way we'll get more is through taxation of capitalism & creation of more govt jobs, not less. The Job Creator meme is bullshit.

If you know anything about this country's labor history and laws you would know that historically republican business owners have viewed their workers as commodities to be consumed. Use up a person and replace them has been their motto and when an ignorant worker is conned into seeing them as their savior it really makes me wonder why the republicans oppose any attempts to further education in this country to help more people rise above their circumstances and have a better life.

Still triggered because Trump was elected? I guess I'd be mad too if I were you.

Me not using twitter is me telling you that I only hear about his tweets when the left lies about what he says. I don't read every tweet he writes is basically all I'm telling you so I can't be defending all of them, just the ones where people like you lie about them. Quit lying and I'll quit telling you that you are lying.

As a reminder, Trump won largely because of the arrogance you're showing in this post, keep it up.

And Trump will do what, exactly, for those people? See to their welfare when they're put out of work by forces beyond their control as in the end of the housing bubble? Make healthcare insurance affordable? Bring back the jobs that will never come back?
