Yeah an elected one. My point being, it's pretty rare to have major political figures in your party write op-eds saying they are voting for the other parties nominee or give interviews saying they won't back their parties nominee.
They are trying for a floor fight by getting enough delegates to agree to nominate someone else.
They're trying to disentangle themselves from the Donald, to somehow claim the the Party doesn't stand for the same things he does. They're trying to disavow responsibility for the mind fuck they've worked on the base for decades.
Republicans built that base, turned people's best qualities against them while the true Bush constituency has been looting the middle class & the whole country in pursuit of that trickle down goodness. In voting for Donald, the base contends that the false promises they still believe in can come true. He's their Messiah.
