Let's look at the record. Trump a supposed "successful" businessman joined in the with the complete wackos making unsubstantiated claims about the President of the US. And even when the thing he was demanding, the long form birth certificate was released, Trump went even more wacko and went with the truly loony conspiracey theorists who claimed it was a forgery.

The Trump announces a "big" news conference with breaking news that would shock the country and it turns out to be a nothing.

Trump then triples down on stupidity by claiming the election was a sham and incites people to riot.

Maher, on the other hand, is a comedian who used the craziness of Trump for satire and humor.

There is no such thing as "atheism extremism." Additionally, atheism simply means that there is a lack of belief, just as if someone had a lack of belief in a unicorn. Are there many lack of a belief in a unicorn "extremism"? It is about as possible and ridiculous as what you are suggesting.
