It’s stupid the Repugican pundit on the CNN panel. We need to stop this rhetoric that the country will end if the orange monkey wins in November. Hey dumbass, that divisivenesses started by your party long before Dems started it
Trump: "... you won't have a country anymore."

Only Trump can get shot in the head and ramble incoherently on like nothing happened.

He's no Teddy Roosevelt, that's for sure. Ted took a bullet to the chest, then stayed to finish the speech. Legend.

Trump should be happy though, he finally had a legit reason to shit his pants. My sympathies to the people who had to pile on top of him and endure the smell.

Rumor is that Trump will move up the announcement of his VP pick—likely in the next 24 hours vs. first night of the convention. He’s gonna play off this for whatever it’s worth. Credit to him and his team for getting the first statement right, unlike Mike Collins, Steve Scalise and JD Vance (amongst others).

That shooter was definitely no Lee Harvey Oswald. At 130 meters away Trump's head would loom large in a basic AR peep & post sight let alone something else with more tech to it. Not enough time on range I guess. Anywho this whole setup stinks to high heaven. As I mentioned earlier things don't add up right given the available information at this time.

he did grab his ear before he went down.

I think something hit his ear, but my money is on it being a bullet fragment. They cut good, make for good bleeders. If the shooter was using a 20" barrel a 5.56 round hitting an ear would likely spall immediately and it would probably be pretty messy. 5.56 out of a carbine length barrel can hit soft targets and not spall immediately. So it is possible he did actually get shot in the ear.

About the bullet caught in the shot, it looks pretty close to me. Needs to be verified, but a cursory round of measurements by yours truly showed me a difference I'm ok attributing to perspective distortion. Will defer to the pros on it obviously though.

Yeah that guy is a moron. He's basically there to provide "balance" but he's a Trumper mouth piece.

It's so obvious that Trump did not write that statement. He's 100% incapable of writing or dictating English of that calibre.

Let's be clear: Trump wasn't assassinated.
Also, there isn't even an attempted assassination. No court has argued this or decided on the event, period. Let's wait and hear the arguments, all the evidence. I don't care what's on TV. We can't make any assumptions until this situation has been litigated in court and decided a panel of experts.
So is there any chance this is legitimate political discourse?

lol did you just link to a Reddit thread as proof! Holy fuck!
Did you even bother looking at it? The pictures are from Doug Mills NYT.

There's a reasonable chance that the AR was a pistol or 300 blackout and shooting less than 3000 FPS.

There are 3 pictures in the sequence. If you want to say oh that's an air vortex and not the actual bullet I'd say you could be right but it was definitely caught on the camera.

At this point I'm arguing with someone who's blatantly wrong and unwilling to concede they are.

This is the guy interviewed by BBC who says he and others tried really hard to alert security for 3 straight minutes. He saw the shooter climbing up on the building with a rifle, pointed it out to security who did nothing. He wondered why Trump was still speaking, it was inexplicable. This is BBC's interview of him explaining this, as shown and then discussed on CNN:

Trump would be an existential threat for Ukraine in the war against Russia. I can see the possibility of someone from Ukraine deciding to take him out. What's weird is how the shooter fire multiple rounds, hit multiple people and killed someone but only nicked Trump. Will have to wait for more info in the coming days.

Except Trump is who banned them to start with.

More reactionary and out of stubbornness, he was more interested in showing that he could stand up to the NRA and other parts of the gun lobby.

Then once the story fades, he didn't care anymore. And to be clear, the Garland v. Cargill ruling occurred exactly a month prior to this shooting. Throwing your life away to protest something no longer banned seems...odd.

But imagine if this could lead to a civil election. Like Biden unfortunately will have to avoid talking about the conviction and sexual assault. If the orange monkey just doubles down on "they attempted to kill me!!!" then that gives Biden permission to resume attacking him. But if the battle were to only be about the merits of their appropriate administrations, it would be a fresh breath of political air instead of this horrid politics this past decade and more.

To me, that's not the actual bullet itself. It's the mist of Trump's bodily fluids being dragged along behind the bullet. It will expand into a fog very quickly thereafter. From the ballistic images/footage I've seen where a bullet has penetrated its intended target and exited, more times than not it will leave such a trail behind it, especially if it's organic tissue of some sort. Heard of the pink mist before? It's clearly seen through a scoped rifle if the shooter keeps a trained eye on the hit, along with a trailing shock wave penetrating the air before the hit if the weather conditions are right for it, like cold very high humid air for example.

I think you're going overboard on "judicial notice", when the justice system is designed with a built-in bias favoring the "innocent" such that the guilty often go free. It is not a reliable arbiter of the Truth.
You are replying to a very tongue in cheek post. There was nothing factual or intended to be factual in that post. It was a parody of Mr. Greenjeans.
