Sad fact is looks like America's a hotbed of covid until vaccines arrive. They could tamp down the epidemic to the point where the economy isn't nearly as bad as it's going to be, but anti-maskers, hoax-purveyors are going to prevent that considerably... well, if Biden wins things should improve.

Shouldn’t they have charged a token $5 or $10 a head to a) fund the campaign and b) prevent Internet shenanigans?

People who are saying that trolls were the reason this was empty are flat out wrong. There was no cap on the number of tickets available, they bragged about giving out a million of them! The reason it was empty is people didn’t want to go. End of story.

The only thing the trolls did was render their information gathering useless.

Yup, this really inflated some people's hopes. Trumpets in Tulsa thought this was going to be some kind of Million Man march level thing, a huge repudiation of both covid19 and of the deep state conspiracy to smear Trump. His grass roots support will be unquestioned!

Whether or not there was a coordinated effort to 'reserve' tickets that would never be used, the fact still remains that the place was less than half-full. A reunion tour of the "1910 Fruit Gum Company" or "The Archies" would have put more asses in the seats than the SCROTUS (So-Called Ruler of the United States) did.

Here's hoping that this is the beginning of the end for the Lyin' King.

It's highly amusing that the whole ramp/water thing has gotten stuck not only inside Trump's head, but inside his fans' heads, inside of Fox News' head.

If Trump had just dropped it - had a normal human being's sense to take the L, forget about it, and move on - very few people would still be talking about it now. But he just can't let go.

And his supporters - I understand that the folks in the arena gave him a standing O when he drank water like a motherfuck. There just isn't enough rolleyes.

I'm waiting for the inevitable projection from the Trumpers, where they accuse Biden of not being able to drink water like a badass.

They'll accuse Biden of having orange spray on tan next.
