16 days on vacation for Christmas? At your own resort on the tax payer's dime? Hell yes!
I know the immediate excuses of "he'll be working those days!". Regardless of how much work he does or does not do. this is an incredible waste of money and it directly impacts this area too.

President Donald Trump is expected to spend 16 days at Mar-a-Lago over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, according to an alert issued by the Federal Aviation Administration this morning.

The alert warns pilots to avoid the airspace over Mar-a-Lago during the more than two-week time frame, from Dec. 21 to Jan. 6, but does not indicate when Air Force One will arrive or depart Palm Beach International Airport.



The upcoming visit is longer than last year’s 12-day visit, putting Trump in Palm Beach a day earlier than his arrival last year and four days later than his Jan. 2 departure. It would be his longest retreat at Mar-a-Lago, dubbed the Southern White House, since the president’s inauguration in January 2017.

Trump’s extended stay means he will not be in Washington when the new Congress, including the Democratic majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, is sworn in on Jan. 3. That event will mark the end of the GOP’s eight-year grip on the House, although Republicans slightly increased their Senate majority in the 2018 midterm elections.


It also means the president’s new White House chief of staff may be named, or takeover, during the stretch of time Trump is at Mar-a-Lago.

I recall at Thanksgiving they assured the press that he had a full schedule... an hour later he went golfing. Now if it was on his schedule then they were technically being honest.
 
Well this shoots the DOJ menu against indictment all to hell. If he can take all this time off outside the WH then he sure as hell can let others defend him while is screws things up as usual.
 
He can stay there for the next 769 days. Then come up to DC for the swearing in of President O'Rourke and Vice President Abrams.

I've never begrudged presidents taking vacation but given how incredibly little Trump manages, barely can drag himself from the WH residence to the Oval/few official events/numerous canceled trips, I feel justified considering him one huge lazy fucker.
 
There were threads on this very board with lots of conservatives and their comrades posting about Obama's golfing. It was like a weekly thing.

Did ATOT block Russian IP addresses because none of them are posting these days.

I wonder if he'll get to keep his illegal immigrant workers locked up with him on house arrest. They have no rights anyhow shouldn't be a problem.

House arrest doesn't work that way. Everybody else gets to come & go as if everything is normal. Kinda. The elevator would just stop on the floor below for everybody to check in & out with the guards, alarms & cameras on the fire escapes, that sort of thing. The prisoner can basically have & do anything they want except leave.

didnt obama take more golf trips than every president combine? i know OBAMA ruined a day of mine by visiting Yosemite and shutting down the whole park for fathers day. So lets get real all the prez vacations are a waste of money. Is he charging himself for room board etc? or just to get there? i take off 6 weeks at a time 2x a year, if the prez only takes off 16 days for xmas wow thats sad 🙂
