I know this P&N forum is filled with progressives who think guns are evil incarnate and banning them is the ultimate good (hint: it's not, and it hardly matters).

But with the bumpstock ban, Trump has managed to piss off both sides of the table and piss on the Constitution while doing it.

By the way, Dow Jones down 4% or so YTD. Tell me again how we're supposed to "win" this trade war?

Meh, you really need something better if you really were wanting to incite people into having a full on hatesex orgy. I mean shit, I could've ranted about how I can spot the lizardpeople down here as they're the ones covered up like they're going to Siberia, and its like 70s during the day and dipping into the 50s at night. And how all the alien shit is just a coverup/disinformation campaign for the government's biological test facilities where they've been manipulating humans into grotesque shapes so that they can create a race of subhumans for them to unite all the races against. They couldn't use normal developmentally disabled people as they're too human like so they had to distort us and create these stories of them being from other worlds to come and kill us (and fuck our women) so that we won't view them as humans at all. But really, cows are actually aliens and are slowly working to turn the world into vegans that just eat grass, so they've been slowly putting hormones in their milk to turn humans into weak liberal pansies with the guys pretending they're girls and the girls to look/act like effeminate males.
 
AFAIK it's a pretty small percentage of posters in here that fit the archetype defined in the first sentence. Less than 5% maybe?

I don't know the OP at all, so I figured it was maybe ironic/sarcastic. But then he added the bit about the economy and trade war, so I'm thinking he was actually trying to incite both sides to say shit or maybe so he can pretend to not be either (like so many other idiot conservatives have tried, hell Libertarianism at this point simply is that, its them wanting to be conservatives but not view themselves as stodgy stick up their asses old white guys). Doesn't really matter. Like I said, I knew he was a fucking idiot and I could've stopped there.

First: most of us don't object to the basic concept of a right to own a gun. You're making a straw man argument -- please don't ever do that again. We largely object to the opposition to sensible regulation (such as bans on semi-auto rifles and more rigorous background checks), gun fetishism that acts as if more guns solve everything, and a backing organization that both bribes politicians and falls prey to Russian spies.

Also, who said banning bump stocks pisses off both sides or violates the Constitution? Bump stocks should always have been banned, since they're solely designed to kill more people and are meant for civilian use. And last I checked, the 2nd Amendment doesn't say you have the right to fire bullets at a certain rate.
 
The constitution only gives you the right to bare arms. Says nothing about firearms or guns....
