Did we just find the first conservative that admitted he's tired of all of the winning Trump promised?

I'm still confused on how the OP thinks banning bump-stocks is unconstitutional.

:face palm:
I might actually know their reasoning... from the Trump-a-doodles I know IRL.

See, some folks like to pretend that _everything_ the government does, not explicitly mentioned in the Constitution is somehow now allowed, and therefore unconstitutional. DoJ? unconstitutional. DoE? unconstitutional. Etc, etc.

In this case there's a parallel to the 2A, if one were to imagine infringe means "don't you dare touch firearms".

So they should also be pissed that fully automatic rifles, grenade launchers and heat seeking missiles aren't allowed too?

I know this P&N forum is filled with progressives who think guns are evil incarnate and banning them is the ultimate good (hint: it's not, and it hardly matters).

I am no progressive, and my observations do not match yours about attitudes toward gun rights on this forum.

But with the bumpstock ban, Trump has managed to piss off both sides of the table and piss on the Constitution while doing it.

I hardly think it's pissing on the Constitution. It wasn't until 2008 with DC v. Heller that the Supreme Court even rendered an interpretation of individual gun rights on the 2nd amendment, and it would never have come without extreme and extended activism from the NRA. The NRA is the entity Trump may have pissed on, and it holds everyone else by the balls. The US populace is not much conflicted about this issue, being 82% in support of bump stock ban. I don't suspect politicians are individually so different but certainly respond differently for political reasons.

By the way, Dow Jones down 4% or so YTD. Tell me again how we're supposed to "win" this trade war?

Well I've never agreed with the notion, anyway. But I will say that the DJIA alone is a piss-poor indicator of the economy. It's not even the best indicator of the domestic stock market.

You probably shouldn't have started from a false premise
False? What? Fox News tells him everyday how all them libuhrals wanna take his guns, open the borders wide to brown heathen folk, and put us all under the boot of socialism, and they would never tell lies!!

/s

Meanwhile, I'm a liberal who's pro-2a and a gun owner.

I'm guessing you grow a lot of straw on your farm?

Speaking of pissing everyone off, Trump declares to the surprise of everyone that's we're getting out of Syria. Republicans caught off guard so expect Trump to never have suggested it tomorrow

Great post but you got one tiny tiny thing wrong. This board is filled with conservatives. I'm about the only person here who is on the left. :) There are basically three conservative positions on guns, all of the ridiculous. 1. Guns guns and more guns. 2. So called sensible gun regulation, 3. Ban guns.

Number 1 is a good way to shoot yourself in the foot. Nobody has any idea what reasonable means, and 3 means only criminals will have guns.

Nope, all ridiculous. The right answer and the only true liberal answer is to totally get rid of people. It's people who kill people not guns. That's what I'm for.

I'm betting he will make a deal. "We'll stay, you don't impeach me." "And throw in a wall."

Well that's what the conservatives are for too (see: climate change denial). So you are one of us too.

I'd feel a lot more secure with a full auto M4 &M203 grenade launcher handy, particularly with a double drum 100 round magazine & laser sight. I can only imagine the feeling of freedom it would give me.

Beg to differ.

I want a M1 Abrams parked in my driveway, at least until I can complete digging the silo that will contain my cruise missile.

-Why stop there. It's says right in the consititution that my right to a three stage 50MT hydrogen bomb shall not be infringed.

If countries can participate in MAD, I should be able to, too!
