Trump: No Judges of Mexican Descent Allowed

There's been a Republican talking point of "real" America (the part that votes for them; ostensibly rural and southern) having a certain set of values. This is just Trump taking the logical next step.

This is going to hurt his election outcome - who knows how heavily, but it could be significant. I'm curious if he'll double down or back off now.

He will double back off. Liberals are out to get him amd Mexican activists are liberals. How was he to know there was an evil liberal racist and a Latino legal organization doing fine work with the same name.

I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt when he started going on about his wall. I thought it was more figurative or symbolic. Liberals want to give amnesty so Trump is going to offer the polar opposite and suggest a wall.

He really is slipping into parody. Does he really think the strategy he used to wipe out the republican slate is going to work for a general election? Sanders has bought him an extra two months to pivot to the center and he is doubling down on stupid.

Is it out of the realm of possibilities that this judge could have an ax to grind because of Trump's stance against illegal immigration?

That being said, Trump, don't go there. Even if true it doesn't matter.

hahahahaa.. right, drumpf is going to follow the path of reason and subtlety. He's already gone there, came back, went again, stayed a bit longer, came back and went a few more times. I'm sure he'll visit many more times in the future.

I think I just herd Trump say that the Judge is a Mexican, he's very proud of his heritage when asked why an American born in Indiana can't serve as his Judge.
Was on CNN moments ago.
I will go on record out of this cycles Republicans I'm most comfortable with Trump and I am also glad the news media isn't letting him off the hook so easily anymore.

**I just heard a good observation. This Judge is a Federal Judge, approved by D's & R's, taken the same oath to be impartial & uphold the constitution like every other Federal Judge.**

The media does indeed appear to be toughening up - asking questions, and when he tries to divert, keeps bringing him back to the same point.

Mr. Trump has been rich his entire life. That generally means that most people he interacts with are willing to do what he wants, laugh at his jokes, work to curry his favour. Now that the ratings extravaganza subsides because election coverage is pretty good ratings anyways, it'll be interesting to see how and if he can respond to people standing up to him.

I think it's fairly obvious he'll both bully and play the victim as he has thus far. I don't think it'll be as effective going forward.

This is exactly what I say to anyone who says we need a business leader to be President to get stuff done. These guys aren't used to people saying no or having to follow rules since most of those guys make the rules.

Why do people fight it so hard? Trump is a shameless attention whore. There's NOTHING about the man that's statesman-like. He's just a shameless promoter of all things Trump... that's it.

He's used to saying whatever stupid thing comes to his mind, because in his world he's the boss and no one can really say "Boss... what you just said was stupid."

His whole run is a goof that's gotten way out of hand. Even Trump himself probably thought he'd get a few months worth of self-promotion and attention-whoring out of this joke of a run, then a real candidate would show up and that'd be that.

He could then promote himself as a guy who ran for prez and then gracefully (realative to all things Trump that is) bow out.

But a real candidate never showed up so the joke just keeps on rolling.

It isn't as if Hillary is great at following the rules either.

I have a hard time believing that this was just a self promotional run. Some of the things you have to accept in order for this to be true just doesn't seem realistic to me.

Such as?
Sure, at this point I've no doubt there are people around Trump that are full on serious about him winning ... hell I'm sure there'd be some perks in it for me if MY boss stood a chance of winning the presidency.

But Trump himself? The man never planned this as anything more tha self-promotion. It'll sell some books, a reality show or two, convince more suckers to buy into whatever his next ventures are "brought to you by the guy who ran for prez and almost brought down Washington blah blah spin spin."

But Trump actually wanting the (for him) shit job of president? No.

Out of curiosity, to what would you attribute Zaaps misperceptions? I find it astounding that people can be so confident in things that to me are clearly ridiculous. I'm wondering if it isn't shame that Trump is the Republican nominee.

Do you find it ridiculous that Trump may actually want to become president?

so you're saying it's about race.

No no no. He's not saying it's about race.

It's about a devious judge trying to get revenge against Trump because he's a Mexican trying to protect all the illegal Mexicans flooding in the country.

The judge is an anti-wallite.

he's probably killed a wasp or two in his backyard, coincidence? I think NOT!

Not in the slightest. I think Zaap has psychological issues that make him cynical and distrusting, but I did ask you for your opinion, and now I get the feeling maybe you didn't answer because you too are distrusting and suspect some kind of trap. Clearly you thought Zaap to be off somehow. Just wondering why.
