For some reason it let me read it first time without signing in.

"In an interview, Mr. Trump said U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel had “an absolute conflict” in presiding over the litigation given that he was “of Mexican heritage” and a member of a Latino lawyers’ association."

This may be as stupid as the claim you think he made but it isn't the same thing.

That isn't an "or." "And" means both apply. This is basic English. If you want to weigh them, Trump spends MUCH more time talking about his heritage than the "society." It certainly doesn't take anything away from his statement about Mexican heritage nor my previous assertion. You just proved the point I was making.

That is ridiculous. Do a google search for "ridiculous" AND "subyman" and only the content where both terms are found will be displayed 17 results. Now do one like this "ridiculous" OR "subyman" and you get 120 million results.
This is basic English.
Yeah, I don't think so. Both need to apply or it doesn't work.

Because he was asked a million times about that part.

Here is your quote. It absolutely is about his heritage, you just quoted "Mexican heritage" in your article.
I retract that. It isn't only about his heritage. I think he shouldn't have made it about his heritage at all.

LOL! Why do you get more results? Because it searches for both independent of each other, both do not apply to the search at the same time. "And" means both always apply!!! Or means one OR the other. Seriously man...

You retracted your statement, so you were wrong. His heritage mattered when you said it wasn't about his heritage.

Stunned.

The article says "and" which means both must be present in order for him to be talking about him. He needs to be of Mexican heritage and belong to these groups not just be of Mexican heritage which you falsely claimed. In other words the group he was talking about is MORE specific not LESS specific.

I said it wasn't only about his heritage which you incorrectly said it was.

This is a simply unbelievable attempt at rationalization.

I still only see Bucky in quotes these days, I used to never even have a list.

It's pretty amazing how many of those I see of his ignored on a daily basis.

Just reading so many quotes is wild and wacky, it's like watching some form of mental diarrhea.

That is exactly what you said:

You've already recanted, I don't know why you keep trying to rationalize a position you already abandoned.
I'm not trying to rationalize that position, that's the problem.

You said this...

Uhm, he said the the "absolute conflict of interest" comes from his Mexican heritage.
Which is inaccurate. He said his heritage AND him being a part of an advocacy group was a conflict of interest.

My statement is absolutely factual and accurate. I don't have to state every single point someone makes to say they made one of the points. It absolutely was about his Mexican heritage, you said it was not about his Mexican heritage. That is WRONG. You could have said its not only about his Mexican heritage, but you didn't.

I like french fries because of their taste and smell. I could also say I like french fries because of their taste and not mention smell and it is still accurate. This is really basic stuff man.

Which would imply that you like french fries that smell like crap but taste good. You don't so it is inaccurate.

Well don't stop there! If I say I like french fries that smell nice and taste good then that would imply I want my french fries to be green since I didn't say color. But then if I said I liked them golden, I didn't say how moist I like my fries, so obviously that means I like them hard as a rock!

How much about the fry must I describe to make a statement accurate?

You are hilarious. Keep them coming.

Perhaps, but most of us know better than to express it out loud, and repeatedly, while running for public office.

Would you spout off your racist thoughts during a job interview?

Of course not, but I'm not stupid.

I think Trump has a point, but the way he brought it up was very stupid...

I'm glad you're enjoying this.

The judge wasn't being accused of having a conflict of interest because he was of Mexican heritage. It was his Mexican heritage and being a part of an advocacy group. So both need apply. It makes it seem as if any judge who is Mexican would be biased when that isn't what he was saying.

The judge isn't a french fry you bigot!:D
