This may or may not be true but Georgia has its own law around mug shots:The US copyright laws only apply to works created by the US government, not city, county, or state governments.
But without such copy right, criminals can make monetary gains from their crimes, just as Trump has done here..Mug shots, like most government works shouldn't have a copyright period. Anyone should be able to do what ever they want with that picture.
Hmm that’s a really interesting point. He hasn’t been convicted yet….But without such copy right, criminals can make monetary gains from their crimes, just as Trump has done here..
Technically he is not making money as it is a political donation which is tax free. But without such copy right, criminals can make monetary gains from their crimes, just as Trump has done here..

I'm sure he can prove that by submitting the flow of cash from those sales to his political campaign finances, and from his political campaign finances to strictly legitimate campaign costs.Technically he is not making money as it is a political donation which is tax free.
Laugh all you want but this is all the judges need to ....bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahashahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahhahahah
hah
That is a different matter and I think someone was investigating him for improper use of campaign funds. Having said that I find it disgusting that tax free donations can be use for lawyer cost to defend him against criminal charges.I'm sure he can prove that by submitting the flow of cash from those sales to his political campaign finances, and from his political campaign finances to strictly legitimate campaign costs.
Might be rotten but not sure it is illegal. And to book campaign events at places he owns.
True, but the value of selling a mug shot is pretty much zero for nearly all criminals. I think it would be similar to a criminal writing a book. But without such copy right, criminals can make monetary gains from their crimes, just as Trump has done here..

What? Trump just made $7 Million off of his illegal use of the Mug shot. Mug shots are already public domain, where they can be used for Meme's, media, etc.. They cannot be used for commercial use (monetary gain) as Trump has done.True, but the value of selling a mug shot is pretty much zero for nearly all criminals. I think it would be similar to a criminal writing a book.
But I think it is fine to release them with a no-commercial use license as well. Just in general I am a pretty hardcore believer in public domain.
Technically, that's a horse shit argument. Specially since the "political donations" are being used to fund his legal battle(s). Which I am pretty sure is a violation of campaign finance laws as well. If he is using the money to fund his legal battle(s), then it's not longer considered donations, and becomes income by IRS standards, which is taxable, and makes it copy right infringement.Technically he is not making money as it is a political donation which is tax free.
Sorry. Dennis Miller was NEVER funny.Social media has rotted his brain because he used to be much better. He reminds me of Dennis miller who used to be really funny as well, until he went off the right wing deep end.
Disagree. Loved him on SNL Weekend Update. He lost his shit after 9/11 and hasn't been funny (or rationale) since.Sorry. Dennis Miller was NEVER funny.
Jesus f'in Christ is he a national security threat. Apparently it can always be worse with trump and it is. Can we lock him up already?not to get lost in all the other news lately...

Trump allegedly discussed US nuclear subs with foreign national after leaving White House: Sources
Months after leaving office, former President Trump allegedly discussed potentially sensitive info about U.S. nuclear subs with an Australian billionaire, say sources.abcnews.go.com
The Australian billionaire he shared information with about our nuclear subs apparently repeated what Trump told him to dozens of people, through e-mails and texts. He told him how many warheads the subs carry, and how close they can get to Russian subs without being detected. Sounds like another easily provable charge to add to the docs case.
