Biden, a trained lawyer, had served on the board of a U.S. company and had also formed an investment firm with fellow Yale graduates Archer and Christopher Heinz, the stepson of former U.S. Senator John Kerry.

According to four sources close to the company, Biden regularly attended Burisma’s twice annual board meetings – all of which were held outside of Ukraine.

A source close to the company said Biden took part in strategic conversations and shared his opinions and experience. In between board meetings, “there were constant calls, dialogue, sharing of advice, consideration of different options,” the source said. “Expansion to other markets was also discussed,” the source added.

Another source close to Burisma said Biden assisted with analysis of oil and gas assets the company was considering buying abroad, though a deal didn’t go through. The company was considering possible acquisitions in Europe, Kazakhstan and the United States, the source and another person close to Burisma said.

Both sources said that around the time Biden was appointed, Burisma was also looking to secure a financing deal with foreign investment funds, including one in the United States.


Biden helped to find lawyers to work on this process, before it broke down due to the start of the war in east Ukraine, one of those two sources said. “He was a ceremonial figure,” that person added.

Drug addled is probably fair, but he did do work for them, attended meetings, gave advice, etc.

Sure, they overpaid to get someone prominent and with connections with the hope it would pay off. That’s often how it works, you can’t tell me that most of these board members making big money actually bring that much value in their actual work. It’s their connections that companies are paying for.

BTW, Greenie who ignores posts he cannot defend, when you say Chelsea got that $600K job right out of college, was that after her bachelor's degree, master's degree or her PhD? She worked between those, esp. between the bachelor's and master's.


FYI...she got her $600K gig from NBC, if I remember correctly, around 10 years (2011/2012) after she graduated with her bachelor's degree from Stanford (2001). By the time she worked at NBC, she'd finished her master's and was working on her PhD.

I'm not sure what the point is - none of these adult kids treading on their famous parents names hold govt positions. People have used their parents names for 100's of years in all fields whether it be entertainment; trade; politics; .... As long as President Biden does not use his position in the govt to strong arm a company into hiring his son and doesn't set policy to enhance his son position (note while i realize you are a worthless troll; this comment is for others) there is a huge difference between setting a policy that his son takes advantage of and setting a policy FOR his son to take advantage of .... President Biden (or any other politician Democrat or Republican) has done nothing inappropriate. Here is an simple example that will be beyond your comprension:
Appropriate: remove blockade it is inappropriate.
Inappropriate: if you loan me 2 billion dollars i will make sure the blockade is removed.

To be fair to Greenie, he argued that she landed the 600k job after...completing a collage, not after she finished her education, at a college (the number of colleges attended and degrees she did obtain are kind of irrelevant here).

Greenie is, legitimately I think, incensed that she was rewarded with such a hefty sum after finishing her collage. ....That must have been some collage!

A) Not supposed to be there
B) Were asked to be returned NUMEROUS times
C) Were said to not be in Mar-aLardo on multiple occasions by multiple people

I think it is perfectly correct to point out buckraking by the kids of powerful people where rich folks give them money in the hopes of gaining access. It does happen all the time and it’s shitty.

That is not at all the same thing as actual senior government officials getting billions from authoritarian regimes whose interests were a direct part of that senior official’s portfolio.

People can’t control what their kids do. They can control what they do. One person took an oath of office, the other didn’t.

But to hear the right tell it, it only happens on the left. The implications are that the left is corrupt.

The left is not perfect. But it's a hell of a whole lot better than the crazy crap put out by the right.

I'm more of a moderate in my way of thinking. There are things that I want that are socialist, and lean liberal, but there are other things that I want that are more conservative. It's called thinking for myself. But with how crazy the right has become, I've just basically decided to vote left all the way to help counter the crazy.
