LMAO!!! at TrumpTweet
The Democrats have said some of the worst things about James Comey, including the fact that he should be fired, but now they play so sad!
Read the thread. Most here are glad Comey is gone. Also clear that Trump is a Russian stooge desperately covering his ass.

The tears are delicious.

Idiots demand Comey's resignation. Idiots claim he isn't doing his job.

And then idiots cry foul when he is actually fired.

The only sad thing is that there are Americans who actually voted for these fools and put them in office. Hopefully this blatant hypocrisy will cost the democrats some more votes.

What is the surprise to the way the Left is responding to Comey's firing? This is just like the Left's version of free speech. The Left is all for free speech until it's someone not approved by them speaks and then the Lefties all look around at each other asking "What is this free speech thing we keep hearing about?".

Oh crap! We got arrows people, we got arrows! And an f'n highlighter; shit's got real!

That was the copy given to Trump to sign before it was handed to Comey. They needed to call out the pertinent details due to the complexity of the letter.

Are you joking? Does it really need to be explained to you why the president should not fire the person in charge of investigating his administration for collusion with a hostile foreign power?

Seriously, if conservatives can't get past their partisanship in this issue then we are in deep shit as a country. If this were Clinton Republicans would be moving towards impeachment and I would support it.

What is the approved method for firing Comey then?
If Trump fired Comey for the reasons stated, then Comey should have been fired along with the rest of the Obama herd on day one of his presidency. IMHO, Obama should have fired Comey for meddling in the election. Firing Comey now isn't a bad thing in itself but it highlights Trump's utter incompetence and reinforces the hypothesis that Trump is a Russian stooge.

Heh. Angus King is asking that Comey be selected to be the lead in an independent investigation. Oh how amazing that would be.

To paraphrase Obi Wan - You can't win, Trump. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.

"Russia's foreign minister sarcastically acknowledged the abrupt dismissal of FBI director James Comey by saying 'Was he fired? You're kidding. You're kidding' as he posed on Wednesday for photographs with U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson."

and now they are laughing in our faces.

Still not complete. We need twenty seven eight-by-ten color glossy photographs with circles
and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one.

To what end (and what purpose that serves MI6)? Theresa May made it quite clear that she wants to be Trump's friend, and MI6 breaking from that without the government's go-ahead is guaranteed to result in heads rolling, unless the truth regarding Trump is the most extreme (e.g. Trump intended to ally the US with Russia), in which case I very much doubt that MI6 would need to "go rogue"; it would just take its findings to the UK government and gov.uk would handle it from there.

UK (and Germany, France, etc.) has a vested interest in the US maintaining itself as a stable power. One of Putin's goals is to tear apart and weaken western alliances so Russia can once again be in a position of control. Its an oversimplification, but that's what it boils down to. If it came down to choosing between the two, you'll see a new version of the battle of Yorktown.

NEWSFLASH! You're in deep shit as a country.

Seriously. There is a tendency when the beginnings of a crisis are happening to not recognize or want to see it. The idea that the unimaginable is not possible, even when the evidence is unfolding that the potential for the unimaginable is happening. You have an insane individual as POTUS. Someone who lied about the size of his crowd for the inauguration, lied about there being 3 million illegal votes cast in the election, lied about the size of his electoral college win. Sticking to these lies as they are not even related to policy or Russia or government affairs. Just the deranged lies of a sick mind, that relate directly to his ego. Easily refuted, yet there are fanatics who still believe this garbage.

A hallmark of dictators that take countries from functioning democracies into fascist regimes has been bizarre behaviour and an unsound mind, with a fanatical base that enables the fantasies. This man controls the largest military in the world, can launch nuclear weapons solely at his discretion. Deep shit is long past, this is the bottom of the cesspool.

Thinking you are not in deep shit is not really looking at where things are. Scientific realities are being denied, religious fanaticism is being enabled via EOs. Draining the swamp apparently meant putting the representatives of corporations in charge of the government departments charged with regulating them. I'm not surprised Trump voters can't accept they were played for fools, who'd want to acknowledge being an easy mark ? They just stuff the pillow of ancillary nonsense issues like Muslims, immigrants, abortion and hating liberals between their teeth while they, and the liberals they hate, are getting sodomized by Trump and Co.

Do you understand the importance of context and timing? That is where the issues are coming from on this. Not past feelings.

I already know that excuse. "Trump had to wait for his AG".
Republican views on this will be largely devoid of the investigative context. And now you can, hopefully, see why.
I am providing a window into the other side so people understand "why" the nation will have a divided reaction.

Huh? There is no 180 there whatsoever and there should be zero disagreement over how people should feel or react to this.

It is entirely consistent to think that Comey should have been fired for his actions during the election and also think that the president should not fire an individual who is currently investigating him and/or his administration for criminal activity, especially for reasons that are transparently, ludicrously false.

Trump's attorney general previously praised Comey for the actions that he now says mandated his termination. In short, he's lying.

Again, if this is how the 'other side' views this then they are simply swallowing transparent lies out of devotion to partisanship over the basic functions of democracy.
