Context is key - it was present but CPAC also didn't commission it (though having it present is a statement on its own)

Agreed and I saw this. I do have to say if I were the floor organizer/manager and I saw some dude wheeling in a golden idol I would turn him around and out the door.
The biblical references are way too strong to ignore.

Of all of Trump's base, the Evangelicals (along with QAnon), would all pretty much run to turn the ovens on if Trump told them they were full of Marxist, librul, commie, homosexual, Muslim migrants. These people would easily become real Nazis.
