TRUMP SPEAKS AT NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BLACK JOURNALISTS CONFERENCE IN CHICAGO

Here is a time-marked start where Trump walked in:

He faced a very hard question right from the start - "You've held dinners with white supremacists, you called several politicians of color to go back where they came from, and you called Kamala a DEI hire, what do you have to say to this audience?" He completely dodged it by saying how nasty the host was when he made an effort to be a guest. He actually drew laughter and applause from the audience. This mofo actually dodged it completely.

I do not like him. But I watched the whole 30 minutes or whatever. He was actually... endearing (wtf?), and drew laughter and cheers (yes cheers) from the audience consistently.

At the end his central messages were: Illegal immigrants are coming to take your black jobs too + ill use our large oil to drive down inflation, don't mind EVs + the waterpot black lady police killing "looked very bad" + Biden made inflation.

He kept on going back to the moderator with the 'nasty question' how she was late to the event, her equipment didn't work, NUMEROUS times throughout the debate and the crowd laughed every time. She just sat there defeated because she couldn't be louder than the guest, I guess.

The whole thing was closed by drawing a nice applause and cheers.

Damn I was surprised. He actually handled himself well. That appearance was a win for him and for the garnering black support.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Any black person or other minority voting for that racist is in serious denial. They better wake the hell up. So Tru p makes racist remark about illegal immigrants (equating black people have the same jobs the illegals would want), dodged dei question by saying she (you know, the prosecutor, Senator and Vice President) was nasty which has nothing to do with dei, ignores our inflation is already near normal, the US in already largest oil producer in the world, and the murder of water pit lady “looked” bad. Not that the act was bad. Just that it “looked” bad.

What absolute gaslighting. How can you not see it?

Trump racist history

Is this a serious post?

As stupid as it sounds.. there's enough of stupid in our country that he can win!

So yeah pisses me the fuck off but it's not a joke. Don't underestimate him and his black friends.. who're in deep trouble with the law.

Quoted for LOLs

You thought that was "good" for him and would win him support? You need to have your head examined.

A lot of the laughter was at him, not with him.

Sorry, not trying to be mean. Just unsure if it was sarcasm or not. I personally do not think this went well for Trump.
He drew consistent applauses and laughter. I hate trump as much as the next guy, but that other poster is delusional if they thought the audience was laughing AT him the whole time. He cracked up the audience.

I'm not talking about ME. Look/listen to the audience reaction.

God, you guys.

I am sorry I posted here...
Why, because we pointed out the fallacies, lies, and disgusting remarks he made? Answer my questions I posted to you. If that audience is laughing with him than they don’t know he was gaslighting them.

Ya know, this cracks me up. I know people who argue like this. When given instances and evidence of their transgressions, they simply attack you, degrade you and insult you then deflect and gaslight. They do nothing to address the point at all.

Apparently this tactic is successful for some people. To me, you lose the minute you attack the other person.

To the OP: He had very few claps in the audience. The vast majority were gasping at him, laughing at him and catcalling him. And I will bet the claps were plants by his campaign.

I watched the first question by Rachel Scott on CNN. I don't necessarily agree with the OP, and I don't know what the rest of the "conversation" was like.

Completely dodging the question is what Trump does, so I wouldn't call that "nailing" anything. I loved Scott's direct question, and hope it gets replayed to minority voters over and over again. Trump's true record is the direct opposite of "best president for Black Americans since Lincoln."

Having said that, if that really was question #1, Trump does have a point that it's somewhat incendiary to start off that way. Scott definitely pulled no punches. I couldn't quite make out what the laughter was all about, but I wouldn't doubt some of it was jeering.

And to be fair to @Zeze , he's saying he watched the whole thing and he's not speaking to his own political beliefs. WE all know Trump lied about everything but that's not the point.

Did you watch that clip in its fuller form? I did because I had nothing better to do.

The audience just kind of took it in. The host lady even felt that energy and rebutted, "Kamala identifies as black." No one was gasping at the absurdity unfortunately, it felt more like, "KAMALA IS OURS, NOT INDIAN", not, "YOU ARE RUDE".\

Dude, they were laughing AT him.

The first quarter yup, but he drew laughter and APPLAUSES at several moments. No one jeered or booed. I know, because I had nothing better to do.

If you emotional kids can't understand that I'm merely pointing out that Trump as a political candidate made a successful appearance today BASED ON THE AUDIENCE REACTION (not mine), you need to take a breath. I thought this forum is pretty old now and we aren't as rabid.

That he doesn't realize this is astounding. A good example is at 1:12:30 when he is asked if his health declines, will he step down. He attacks her and they laugh at him.

He then goes on to attack Harris' intellect and mental stability and they laugh AT him again.

I have no idea where you're getting this from but to put it mildly your interpretation of events here is wildly different than every other person's I've read.

Did you watch the whole thing? You're reading what other echo chamber is telling you?
lol if you think the Washington Post is an echo chamber you are living in a fantasy world.

I have not watched the whole thing. I have watched several different clips though and the audience is laughing at him and heckling him. It's a terrible look!

Here. Stop with the clips. Here it is:

Right above is TIME stamped. You are telling me you're so blinded by trump-hate (which I hate him too), that the audience reaction isn't laughing WITH HIM? There's even an applause because the host DID feel she was being rude, no matter how effed up Trump is.

"You don't even say hello or how are you." Trump says and audience laughs in agreement.

I'm not saying we should vote for Trump or I don't hate Trump anymore. I'm making an accurate observation.
