God how Trump's hates our justice system. Yet, he's always at the ready to use it.

This isn't justive it is civil and any dummy can file any lawsuit they want. Naturally he went judge shopping to some hokey guy in texas who will rule in his favor regardless of what the suit actually contains. This will score large political points for Trump (though to be honest once the election occurs he might drop it - maybe if he wins he won't drop it because he can put pressure on the supreme court to rule in his favor).

What will happen is the quack in texas will rule in trump favor; then the quacks in 5th court will rule in Trump favor and then what his name on the supreme court will complain again about judge shopping and the quacks on the 5th and then make a ruling for or against Trump.

The whole thing is crazy given some of the recent rulings that originate in this path. I mean the way these quacks rewrite the constitution to justify some of their rulings is just destroying the judicial system.

Wolff comes out and says Epstein had loads of compromising materials on Trump, including photos of him with topless teenagers on his lap and a 'telltale stain' on his pants.

Also mentions that Epstein was afraid of Trump, saying he would 'do anything' to protect himself, which I agree with. It's basically the reason why I think Trump having Epstein killed is plausible.

I stopped contributing to this thread because there is so absolutely crazy shit going on and it does not seem to make any difference. It is disheartening.

Just have to wait for Tuesday and hope that he loses.
Yea i'm not sure his followers even listen to what he sez. They've been told by fox he's the man so .....

All I have to say about Trump was written by someone with both memory and premonitions in 1977:

Big man, pig man
Ha, ha, charade you are
You well heeled big wheel
Ha, ha, charade you are
And when your hand is on your heart
You're nearly a good laugh
Almost a joker
With your head down in the pig bin
Saying 'Keep on digging'
Pig stain on your fat chin
What do you hope to find
Down in the pig mine?
You're nearly a laugh
You're nearly a laugh
But you're really a cry

It's so dumb how they say so many things will be done on his first day in office. It's the kind of thing a stupid person says to try and brag about how great they are.
If banning fluoride isn't enough now they want to ban vaccines - mind you not make vaccine optional but openly ban them:

Have i mentioned that this bullshit has already seen an increase of mumps outbreak and a few other cases of diseases that has historically been eradicated to the American public. What do they want an out break of the black plague to remind them that modern medicine works ?

Of course that ignores the rather surprising number of young ladies who are dying because they can't get help when pregnant.

I mean, fwiw, the black plague still exists and is more dependent on the cleanliness of your environment. Rats carry high concentrations of the bacteria, fleas feed in rats, people are bit by the fleas. USA is still reporting about 10 cases per year last I checked.

The diseases that people like RFK and anti-vaxxers are letting loose have medical prevention methods aka vaccines. It’s very irresponsible and dangerous to tout an anti-science view for these types of diseases

wrt the plague, a trump presidency means a chance to implement a economic plan that will devastate domestic and global markets. Thrust millions into poverty and destroying local towns everywhere. This will reduce the ability of local governments to maintain clean areas and keep rodents like rats away. So yea, we could see a resurgence in the black plague type diseases as well

20 years to the day you joined very nice!

And yeah I mean it’s completely nonsensical. The polarization/tribalism is high than anytime probably since the Civil War, and I really don’t think that is hyperbolic.

When you have this type of anti-science sentiment being absorbed and circulated (primarily in echo chambers), it really goes to show just how brainwashed these people have become. These people are rejecting modern society that they benefit from and have their entire lives.

I don’t think a lot of people picked up on the fact that Mr. Orange was talking about withdrawing funding for school districts that had a mandated vaccines, which have been around for decades, I mean, you can’t make this shit up. I wonder how many of the people who will vote for him will even know that he has proposed that. Pretty much all they hear is anti-immigrant tropes and random grievances that he has, most of which are of his own making.

We’ve been watching the dissolution of the respect for expertise on the Right. They simply disregard those who have spent their lifetimes researching and applying their knowledge and intellect towards solutions that have made our lives better. And now seemingly they want to tear it all down.

Huh, 20 years anniversary, thanks for noticing (cuz I did not lol)

I have to admit that the fact that my kids are now (barely) grown has made me less likely to want to leave the country. That's a selfish attitude, I know that. There's also the more practical reasons that I'm getting old and only speak English, so I'd feel pretty damn helpless...anyway, as the Republicans continue on their jihad against education and science, it will eventually affect all of us. If my kids were still in public school here in FL, I'd be pushing the fam to get out (frustratingly, I'm the one who cares most about all this...at this point, my kids are adults so it's their call).

FL is just one of the bolder ones putting their white-washing alt-history into action. It'll continue ramping up if Trump gets in.

Make no mistake, it's not all education either. The super-rich will still be able to go to private schools, preferably Christian ones. They just don't want the unwashed masses to be able to think critically. The people that run the GOP aren't nearly as stupid as their average voter--they can read a demographics report after any recent election. Uneducated males vote GOP, that's their top demographic. Uneducated females, not far behind. Their nemesis is educated females, so you can bet that's something they will work on. You can already hear the uproar about women not telling their husbands who to vote for and similar bullshit....it's 2024 you backwards fucks, not 1745, but they'll do their damnedest to pull things back as far as they can go.

If you want to see where we are headed all you have to do is look at Russia. If the path is continued eventually the educated will be persecuted, imprisoned and in some cases outright executed while the elite will become more corrupt and richer and the politicians will brag about having the strongest army in the world while the engineers will build crap that doesn't work.

The govt is littered with people or wannabe who are immortal and preach morality; who are godless and insist everyone be a good christian and generally either corrupt or moronic. Mind you most of them are republicans but there are a few others sprinkled in there.

In plain terms if you can't win via a free fair election then remove the free fair portion of the election. That is the republicans approach to things.

I’m quite doubtful of this. People wouldn’t go quietly and anyone who tries to pull this bs would be looking over their shoulders every second.

It is good to know 48% of eligible voters support a 78 year old felon who mimics oral sex with a microphone and goes on about a dead golfer’s junk size. Those are the serious issues we need to address.

It's another form of American exceptionalism. We have clean water because we are deserving of clean water, not because we spent trillions building and maintaining clean water infrastructure. We are relatively free of disease because we're wonderful, not because our parents got us vaccinated. Apply this sentiment to every other aspect of modern life and so-called expertise becomes silly hubris. Our god provides for his people.

After the Khmer Rouge murdered all the intellectuals to free the wisdom of the peasants, they discovered that nobody knew where the water came from when they turned on the tap. America is undergoing a slow burning version of the same anti-intellectualism. From Steve Bannon's overt rejection of the Enlightenment to the anti-vaccine people, it is all based on ego and entitlement.

Good lord!

Trump says he’ll put ex-NFL player in charge of US missile shield

Herschel Walker shouldn't be in charge of anything to do with peoples lives.
Damn, between rfk jr and this I am assuming the syphilitic orange menace may make steve bannon Secretary of State.

This is a clown/shit show on steroids.

Team Trump seems to have conclusively determined that there is absolutely nothing they could say or do that would turn off the 45% of the electorate that is his hard core MAGA base. And so they appear to have a 3 point plan:

1) Go after individual 0.5% insane niches that include non-voters and democrats that might vote for him if he supports their particular insanity, no matter how insane it sounds to the rest of America, as his base will just make more excuses for his insanity
2) Further ramp up the hatred and violence dial to 11 to try to get the base out, and to support #3
3) Activate and arm the "Stop" the Steal cultists with non-stop lies and the Musk megaphone to burn the country down and steal the election if he loses

Honestly, I don’t even understand what their plan is right now because it just makes no logical sense. The past week of their campaign has been an absolute dumpster fire so at this point I just think they’re trolling and like you said just saying whatever they wanna say because they can and because they think they will still get the same vote count.
