While I suppose the text quotes being fake could be argued. The voice clips can't be disputed. And even without solid proof that he actually said what was quoted. Knowing he said what was recorded, I have no problem assuming he said what was quoted.
His cult claims to be the proudest Americans, but none of them care what he said about vets, or they just are in denial "he didn't say that the media's lying" But he did call Mccain a loser and said he likes soldiers who don't get captured. Which is beyond shitty and inexcusable.
The fact they don't care's crazy and scary, Trump has no compassion and doesn't know what empathy is. So I'm not surprised his brain thinks this kind of shit. But the fact he says the shit outloud puts him in a different category than just someone who lacks empathy. And to offset this his idiot followers last week were proving he loves the military by showing a clear photo op pic of Trump kneeling down by a grave with the son and wife of a fallen soldier.
He'd never do that if there wasn't a camera there. And then they showed a random picture of Biden walking, who knows where or when it was taken. But he wasn't kneeling and showing compassion to the family of a fallen soldier like Trump. And the MAGAs claimed it was taken at the same time Trump was being the kindest soul, thustly proving Biden doesn't give a shit about the military. And a good number of his cult are fine with the military helping him take what's rightfully his if he's cheated out of the election. Which doesn't sound very American to me.

Happily, the Democratic ads don't need to lie or take anything out of context like the GOP does. Just play quotes in their entirety.
For example, the fuckstick got rid of Roe v Wade. It can't be denied--not the deed, not the words leading to it. Now it just remains to be seen whether it matters in the vote. He is a convicted felon. He was found liable for rape. And so on.
Trump is on tape saying an awful lot of things. None of it will change minds of any of his Maga-addled crew but maybe it'll get some mushy middlers thinking for once.

That really is the Republican / Trump logic in yet another nutshell. Biden economy is so good that basically everyone now (other than convicted felons) have better options than poor-paying and potentially risky military service.
So Trump's plans will both crater the economy, and if that isn't sufficient, force others to serve in the military. Rather than finding ways to, say, 1) make military service more attractive, and 2) make the military more efficient with less standing manpower
