I pop into r/conservative every once in a while and this is actually something a decent percentage of them are really unhappy with. Eagerly letting Putin cuck you in return for nothing apparently does not apparently look all that strong to some of them.
We have seen how Republicans complain.
They find their spines and morality long enough to say a few words and then slither back into the hell from whence they came.

Where are their actions?
  • They will not impeach.
  • They will not vote against.
By their will this is their doing. For the 9th year in a row. They are the enemy.

Visitors to the WH are learning...

1) Stroke Trump's ego
2) Ignore Vance or nod occasionally
3) Smile and joke
4) Sign deal and leave

Don't bother standing up for anything or explaining anything. Do that only in writing.

The end.

5) Watch Trump tear up the deal you just signed.
6) Realize signing deals with a guy who won't honor them is pointless
7) Find someone else to sign a deal with that you can trust.

Would not a deal have conditions? If if those conditions are not met then could it not be ended? Would that be "tearing up a deal" or ending based on non performance?

Anyway, that was not the point I was trying to make. Just avoid Vance and you will be fine. I think your cointerpoint was "dont bother at all" which is silly considering America is unavoidable as we are so intertwined in Earth's affairs.

Yup turning his back to allies. Not long before fully embracing the dictators he looks up to. But will Vance grow a spine to 25A him?
LOL. Vance is spineless and has the charisma of a week old bag of dog poop. And the 25th has a gaping hole: cabinet members can be fired before they can vote.
Eh, I think that's likely just their "natural" reaction which will quickly become only a private response. At least once the cult talking points come out.
Perhaps. But the divisions should be amplified. Media loves intra-party division stories instead of things that just get framed as partisan bickering.

On a political forum in a thread discussing a potential turning point in American history, you two couldn’t even muster up a comment about it. Telling.

What's the point?
I considered making some comments and decided against it. I don't need to hear the shit posting from you and your echo chamber buddies. And I have learned that it doesn't matter which side I favor, the shit posting is always the same.
That is also "Telling".

Yep, your ego is too fragile to stand up against strangers on the internet. Your convictions and principals too weak to defend and yet here you are, perfectly capable of commenting about the “echo chamber” and still not a peep about the subject on hand.

My ego, convictions and principles are just fine. I've been standing up on this forum for many years. It just so happens I've decided that the opinions expressed here from anyone is meaningless in the grand scheme.

I guess you like living in the echo chamber with all your buddies so you can gang up on anyone that doesn't join in and agree with all of your ideas and opinions. I seriously don't care about your ideas or opinions.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

BTW - your original comment went something like never seen anything like it

Comments like that could mean you approve. You have yet to make it clear. Even this post show you think it’s cool just to kiss Trump greasy orange ass and move on.

Ever going to take a stand for right vs wrong? Oh skip it, I’m wasting my time.

When you find it necessary to take a stand, do so, but not during a state visit and certainly with an immature 40 year old VP.

-What part of the USMCA did either Canada or Mexico violate to have tarrifs levied against them?

He's recreating the takeover of Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union and we're all going to end just as fucked as the Russian people were in the 90s.

It has similarities to post-Soviet Russia.

But things don't always play out exactly the same way, and it's not at all clear to me who is going to be the one who emerges on top out of this lot, i.e. who will be the Putin. Musk, Vance, Trump, or someone else entirely?

You think I like living in an echo chamber while asking YOU to add your opinion to this topic? Lol no I think you projecting here, you don’t add your opinion because you don’t want your bubble pierced, you’ve managed to protect your ego by telling yourself your opinions aren’t wrong if they can’t be criticized and they can’t be criticized if you don’t provide them. It’s pretty clear you do care about our opinions as your 20 fucking years on this forum and some 22k posts says otherwise. Btw, I myself do value your opinion and everyone else’s opinion, even if I disagree with them. Why? Because if they can’t hold up to basic scrutiny it means I can ignore them, at the same time if they hold up to scrutiny then it’s something I should consider and should update my own beliefs with and it’s that mentality that I can confidently say, no, no I don’t prefer echo chambers. But go ahead and keep projecting because when you are gone from this world and you no longer post here, your legacy will be that of a man who’s convictions were weak and who was incapable of defending himself, who was too timid (to put it politely) to put their opinions out there unlike past members who are no longer with us (rip jhnnn) who at least had the balls to stand behind their convictions and who put their opinions out to be scrutinized.

Trump just f*cked our Navy. Even our nuke powered need diesel.

Norway fuel giant 'refuses to fill US submarines' after Trump-Zelensky clash

Norwegian petroleum giant Haltbakk Bunkers has declared it will no longer help the US Navy.

1740868392627.png
A petrol giant in Norway has announced a ban on fuel sales to all US forces following Donald Trump's treatment of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House, it has been reported.
Norwegian firm Haltbakk Bunkers announced it will stop providing fuel to all American forces in Norway as it declared "No fuel to Americans!". The firm posted on social media to declare its support for Zelensky as it dealt a hammer blow to US President Trump following the heated spat televised from the Oval Office.

It said: "We have today been witnesses to the biggest s***how ever presented "live on tv" by the current American president and his vice president. Huge credit to the president of Ukraine restraining himself and for keeping calm even though USA put on a backstabbing tv show. It made us sick. Short and sweet. As a result, we have decided to immediate STOP as fuel provider to American forces in Norway and their ships calling Norwegian ports.

"No Fuel to Americans! We encourage all Norwegians and Europeans to follow our example. SLAVA UKRAINA"

Owner of the firm Gunnar Gran has told Norwegian maritime news site Kystens Næringsliv that 'not a litre of fuel' will be delivered 'until Trump is finished'.
It reported: "As you probably understand, not a liter will be delivered until Trump is finished, the owner tells Kystens Næringsliv.

"We run a private limited company and choose our customers!"
The owner also said that the group has excluded Russians since Putin's invasion, adding: "It gave a lot of our competitors a lot of extra revenue. We lost a lot of revenue. But we have a moral compass. Now the United States is excluded based on their behavior towards the Ukrainians."

The fuel ban takes effect immediately and applies to vessels calling at Norwegian ports, it says. Haltbakk Bunkers also sends a further appeal.
It comes as Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the “American people” and leadership and held out hope for “strong relations”, the day after an astonishing clash with Donald Trump left many uncertain where the once staunch allies stood.
Ukraine had walked into a meeting at the White House on Friday prepared to sign a mineral deal with the US, hoping it would be a step towards a just ceasefire, but left empty-handed.

In a series of posts on X on Saturday, the Ukrainian president said his people are “very grateful to the United States for all the support”, and specifically thanked Mr Trump and Congress alongside the “American people”.
“Our relationship with the American President is more than just two leaders: It’s a historic and solid bond between our peoples. … American people helped save our people,” he wrote.

“We want only strong relations with America and I really hope we will have them.”

The shouting match that unfolded in the final minutes of the meeting between the two leaders at the Oval Office on Friday seemed to dash, at least for now, Ukrainian hopes that the US could be confirmed as a reliable partner in helping to fend off, and conclude, Russia’s three-year onslaught.

The exchange saw the frustrated Ukrainian president lectured by Mr Trump and vice president JD Vance over what they saw as his lack of gratitude for previous US support.

“You’re gambling with millions of people … You’re gambling with World War Three,” Mr Trump told Mr Zelensky of his attempts to resist the Russian invasion.

It delighted officials in Moscow who saw it as a final breakdown in relations between Washington and the Ukrainian leader.

That was cute, but if you watch the video from the beginning, Zalensky was articulate, respectful, passionate, humble and willing to work with Trump. Trump for the most part was diplomatic and measured considering the delicate balance of trying to be a mediator between Zaleksy and Putin but still characteristically Trump.

However, Zalensky fell into the Vance ego trap.

Since you already know what happens at the end, its easier to see the seeds of what is about to happen starting with the "why didn't you wear a suit" question, trying to put him on the spot and embarrass Zalensky who explained he will wear one when the war is over. There are other cues and a little foreshadowing in word choices.

Watch it again, its more interesting the 2nd time around.

It's a play.

Trump doing whatever he always does, but then have Vance doing the dirty work, same with the speak in Munich. Everything the VP says and does is sanctioned by POTUS, but with this setup Trump can deny and lie and say he never said and did anything "bad".

Well it's easy for us to presume stuff because it's not our kids and women being raped, fisted, stabbed, beheaded and blown up for shits and giggles by Russians.

And MAGA expect Zelensky to ignore that and kiss Putin as their savior and overlord and be thankful to his bitch Trump?

If that's the current reality of MAGA we just might need a solution to the maga questions!

Look up integrity. you don't stand there idle as someone tries to belittle you and tear you down with lies and propaganda bullshit, no matter the time or place. Some people have intergrity to stand up for themselves and thier country, specially to cowards and weak men like Trump and Vance.
