We better hope it stays that way. I would not dismiss Trump so quickly. He is going to turn and become way more moderate. I know many dont think he can, but you just watch.

yup, when you pander, you pander to the widest audience. drumpf is just another pandering buffoon and he will contort and twist his views enough to placate only the dumbest of voters.

Oh I'm not dismissing him, I'm just looking at the electoral map and saying he's got a tough road to hoe. I'm sure he's going to try and become more moderate, but he is already a well known figure. It's not impossible to change people's opinion of him but it will be hard and he has a great deal of ground to make up.

I imagine he will naturally close a few points on Hillary as Republicans end up backing him anyway. Close all the points? Not impossible, but unlikely.

Latest CNN/ORC poll out today:

The new CNN/ORC Poll, completed ahead of Trump's victory last night, found Clinton leads 54% to 41%, a 13-point edge over the New York businessman, her largest lead since last July.

I am not a Hillary supporter but it is going to be good television watching her eviscerate the orange turd :D

you're in denial, I wasn't a trump supporter but I can't vote for either Bernie or Hillary, but the reality is that Trump has far more to rail Hillary on than she does with him....heck she can't even carry the women vote because people hate her that much, the dems would have a better shot with Bernie than they will her.

The only people that hate Clinton are people who would never vote for her anyway. Which as it turns out isn't a huge amount of people.

Barring some truly strange twist of fate, I believe you'll be sorely disappointed in November. Trump as president is an absurdity. When all the smoke from all the concern trolling for Bernie clears that'll become crystal clear for most voters.

Trump, otoh, is one of the most widely despised figures in politics, even among Repubs.

Really?

"Clinton has won the female vote in every single primary except three – Sen. Bernie Sanders' home state of Vermont, New Hampshire and Wisconsin, where Clinton lost but still was nearly even with Sanders. In every single state where exit polling was done, Clinton over-performed among women, meaning that she got a higher percentage of female voters than the individual primary electorates as a whole. That's true even in states she lost to Sanders."

ATPN is basically entirely white men. No, not 100%, but close.

It is pretty funny to watch these same people try to speak for America.

Honestly the same people who were surprised that Obama won.
"What, the black guy won? But all my drunk friends at the local bar said they didn't vote for him!"
Thus the tea party was born.

Here's Repubs talking about Donald in one of Hillary's ads-

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2016/05/hillary-clinton-wont-let-republicans-forget-never-trump

It's been fun watching Trump stick his thumb in the eye of the Repub leadership, both for his fans & most of the rest of us. That's well deserved, even if it's for all the wrong reasons.

Otoh, he's tearing the party & their chances of taking the White House to pieces.

That doesn't mean the lot of them are truly screwed because Hillary will probably be a pretty good president. Sometimes unintended consequences are good consequences.

I saw on some news channel (can't remember which one) that showed Trump's unfavorable's broken down.
Men - 51%
Women - 73%
Hispanics - 78%
Blacks - 88%

Sounds like some winning numbers there...

The best part of all of this is that Trump is essentially trolling the living fuck out of the Republican party and the Republican base.

Just point and laugh...or walk away when a Trump supporter starts arguing with himself.

The true mindfuck is when you realize that Trump and his supporters are convinced they will win - and that any loss in November CAN only be because of voter fraud. Wait and you will see.

No, none of that. Remember, this is a guy who was a joke, ran against 16 others, was supposed to have been knocked out by governors and senators, of the establishment, yet, managed to knock everyone else out and is now the nominee. He has 16 proverbial scalps in his trophy case and he's going for one more. We don't drink from the sculls of our enemies anymore, but he might, if what they say can't happen, actually happens, as we tell ourselves it could never happen here. ;)

Hillary’s Woman Problem: Most Women Don’t Like Her

Steven Shepard of Politico wrote an important article last week about Donald Trump’s “rock bottom” ratings with women. And his low standing with women has certainly become a much-discussed topic among pundits analyzing the Donald Trump candidacy. An overlooked story, however, is that Hillary Clinton, who might become the first female president in the history of the United States, isn’t far behind in her unfavorability ratings among women. Our just-released poll shows that Donald Trump has a 68 percent unfavorable rating among women. But 58 percent of women say they view Hillary Clinton unfavorably. In fact, Hillary’s unfavorable rating was two points higher among women than it was among men.

Haha, I don't know anyone who likes her and I live in California. Where are all these votes coming from, brain dead, illegals and the grave yards?

I bet the national review's poll is really scientific and accurate. Other polls from unbiased organizations that aren't trying to push a far right wing agenda directly contradict this.

Why do you bother reading that crap? The national review is trying to dupe you.

where do you get this idea? It's patently absurd, especially if you think women prefer Trump over Hillary. That is pure delusion.

Trump will easily carry Repub women as he's continued to do in the primary. Not to mention that he's pulling twice the other party vs hillary according to recent polling and yes, that will also include women.

So you up for a wager on the election? I seem to recall reading that you were not, but I would bet $1,000 cash against you that Trump is not elected.
