Imported and oilfield are active today. What's their take?

My take is that this was when Jared thought it was only going to affect Blue cities. Same reason they declined ordering masks. They knew people were going to die, but because they were more likely to be democrats, they didn't care.
This is Machiavellian as fuck, but you give the Trump mafia family way too much credit for being "strategic" when sheer incompetence will suffice.

Really bad thing is Pfizer is way ahead of everyone on the pediatric trials. At least 2 months ahead of Moderna. No one else has even filed for a trial yet. So Pfizer is really the only hope to get people less than 18 years old vaccinated before the next school year.

Yet another thing the Trump admin fucked up.

My two kids signed up for the Pfizer vaccine trial. They are 15 and 14. Both of them said the shot hurts. My 15 year old had chills and fever after 21 hours from the shot and took Tylenol and fever was gone. No further issues. My 14 year old said his arm hurts for 3 days, no further issues. They are both waiting for their second dose.

Fox didn't mention this in their story. If you suspend reality you can turn a failure into America first.

Typical trump move-showboating with a meaningless executive order instead of (yet again) failing to utilize the production act.

BTW Trump excluded Biden's transition team from his vaccine summit yesterday. Also reports are coming out of the Biden team that Trump has next to no planning on how to facilitate the vaccine injections once it is available. A lot of good millions of doses will do if we don't have the PPE, needles, bottles, staff, etc to do the injections.

MAGA and America First are certainly NOT the policies of the Trump Administration.

I'm trying to get my coworkers with teens to sign up. I plan on signing up my 4 yo once they open the phase 3 trials to them.

His entire plan for COVID was "make people think I invented the vaccine..." No plan for anything at all.

Trump is just screwing up his own unique way.

But I am not convinced the other side would not "cull the herd" to relieve the money burden on the government.

Dollars count, and every fewer head that has to have their social security paid is a win.

Just switching from checks to direct deposit reduced my mom' benefit by $1. She's supposed to have $895 a month and only gets $894 after the switch.

I am actually OK with this. The article doesn't mention how many were ordered from Moderna etc... Don't place all your eggs in one basket as they say. From what I know we gave Moderna around $1.5 billion for 100 million vaccines too.

I am not one to defend trump.... but I think this was the right call.

To be clear you're saying that Democrats are or would deliberately kill or kill through neglect, mass numbers of Americans to balance the budget?

This is insane. What possible basis do you have for this?

The right call is whatever call gives us the maximum number of vaccines we can effectively distribute in the shortest period of time, essentially regardless of cost. The economic costs of COVID are so large that even wasting billions and billions on distribution is probably a net fiscal positive.

It is possible that our other arrangements meet this requirement and so then yes, it would be the right call. I haven't seen evidence that shows that, but I hope it's true.

Probably best to secure slots so you have plenty, even if they don't all make it. If we ended up with extras we could've released the spots or giving the vaccine to other countries as humanitarian aid.

I also told my kids to encourage their friends to participate :) but some of his friends have either tested positive or their parents are hesitant. I am also part of the vaccine trial but I am pretty sure I got the placebo because I remember how a saline shot feels like from nursing school. I was told they will unblind us when a vaccine becomes available.

I doubt I would've been selected for the trials because I have very little direct exposure. And I realized I'd have to stop donating platelets, I decided there would be other people for the trials but there may not be others willing to take over my donations.

My wife is a bit nervous about putting our daughter into a trial, but I think I've convinced her that phase 3 would be fine. They just need to actually start them for younger kids.

Agreed. Doesn't sound unreasonable at first glance. Have to know more information though. But I would like to hear a discussion on economic patriotism vis-a-vis corporations.
