I don't disagree paul.

Here's my take. This all comes down to parenting. Just like religion, it's not a prerequisite to teaching kids how to be a human being with core values like scouts teach.

I understand many scouts don't have that at home, but for those of us that do....scouts isn't necessary. I don't need to spend so much time and money chasing that stuff in their organization when my kids are already getting it.

It's one of those things that never would've even been thought up of, even in the worst B rated comedy movies just a few short years ago.
