state of CA should tow the trucks away and keep them. anyone that leaves their truck out there like that forfeits ownership if you ask me.

I hope diesel goes up more now because of this - thanks to all of those idling cars on "The 5" and the fuel they wasted by doing this. That's what happens when you get a bunch of stereotypically dimwitted truckers together and get them pissed off. I wouldn't mind $3/gal gas... maybe it would make all those people who drive SUVs and trucks for absolutely no good reason reconsider. I'm not anti-SUV or truck, but if it's just you in the car and you never pull anything, get some common sense. Of course, I also average 35mpg on a bad day and I actually try to use public transportation, putting me in the severe minority.

Protest all you like. Just don't get in my damn way. If I was on the way to work and some sh*t head decided to block 10,000 cars on the I-65 to make his stupid point I'd clap if somebody dragged him out of his truck and beat the crap out of him. It's grossly inconsiderate and costs thousands of dollars with all those lost hours from this bastard blocking people who have no interest in being his pawns.Originally posted by: Sysadmin

As a human being I have absolutely no tolerance for this sort of thing. If I was in charge, and thank your stars I'm not, I'd have these people getting executed on tv for doing something like this. In a way they're holding everybody hostage and forcing everybody else in to their little effort. I also would like to see burned to death those who picked in front of employer's and keep out temp workers.
WTF is wrong with protesting? Somebody has to do it or NOTHING will get done. I agree that gas prices are ridiculous and the only reason why we are getting shafted is because our government needs to get some balls and say enough is enough.

They deserve to have MAJOR fines levied on them, and possibly their trucks permanently seized, and jail-time, as mentioned above. I wouldn't be surprised if they cost some emergency services access to somewhere they wanted to go, and other than the fact it's a pain in the ass to thousands of people these truckers are costing so damn much with the stunt.
I say draw and quarter them, and hang their body parts from an overpass.

I agree with Skoorb, what is the difference between these "TERRORISTS" and those in Al Queda?

Please answer me this. IF there is not enough production then that should cause a shortage, NOT a price hike. If they are charging more for no other reason then they can, then that is gauging and is against the law. Yes a shortage CAN increase price. But the shortage has to come first then demand will make price go up, not the other way around (Like it is now).
Also has anyone noticed the profit and money made by oil companies has gone up, not down. So again if there was a shortage then they would make less money as there would be less product.
Sorry but I am not buying the whole ?Its because we don?t have enough refineries?? BS. If there were not enough product then stations would have signs saying they have no gas, I don?t see that. All I see is gas prices going up and oil companies making more money.
I might not agree with HOW they are protesting, but I am glad someone will at least do something and MAYBE Bush will have to tell his friends to lower the price more. Of course it is a re-election year so I am sure the price will ?DROP? right before the election.
