Yeah, officers are required to take different positions during their career, promotions result in new positions. But you would know that if you had served or were serving.

lol ok
You will notice if you search most of these things all happened same time
If the US mil is relying on their wifi guys to lead combat missions, it's truly a sad state of affairs

Now I'm reading another old thread where eskimospy is calling Nebor out about the US mil distributing Nebors right wing extremist ideas on BaseTV.
It sure is funny how all the things he believed far before he joined the mil were confirmed after he got there
http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2228145&highlight=afghanistan&page=2

Is there any other mil people here can confirm or deny if the US mil is waging Jhihad against Muslims?
Is officers issuing death threats against civilians cool with the US mil?

Another thread he is pointing out how he has woodie on ignore
Thing I've figure out about BS'ers is they can never keep their stories straight

Because if the goal is to eliminate ISIS, troops on the ground is a necessity. But that's just my opinion. You either fight against them, or you don't. Half-assed engagements don't work.

Agreed. Argue if we should be involved or not... but once we are... go for the throat with all power used.

Sadly, I'm not sure our leaders are capable of giving such an order. Which case half-assed engagements are all we've got - and I'd rather we stay out altogether.

LMAO!!!!! Looks like Orignal_Earl is obsessed with Nebor and is desperately trying to find something on him.

When someone threatens your families life it's a wise thing to keep your eye on them.
This is normal in real life where I am from anyways.
Actually I always get the feeling a lot of you guys are so spooked by him that you just agreed with him

LMAO!!!!! Looks like you're the one that's not only spooked but obsessed. I have absolutely nothing to fear but then again I'm not the one that's stalking Nebor and trying to dig up stuff on him either.

You really are a Wikipedia warrior. Tell me, what's the motto of the US Army Special Forces Branch? What's their mission statement? Out of the approximately 25,000 18-series soldiers deployed worldwide right now, what percentage are involved in FID and what percentage are involved in direct action? I like how you say "possible deploying of regular soldiers" when I've shown you proof that the entire 1st ID Division HQ has deployed to Iraq. I have no issue with SF being involved in direct action, but most of the DA going on in Iraq is being carried out by other JSOC and allied assets.

Which is fine with me. That was not actually my point in any fucking way. My point was that overall Special Operations can be used and need to be used for more than just training and advising in the fight against ISIS right now.

And the motto of SF is De Oppresso Liber and as for their official mission statement not sure without searching for it but overall their mission is to wage strategic and military operations in various often distant locations with or without support and working or not working with the rest of the US military for the benefit of America.

I don't know why Obama and his supporters have latched onto "troops on the ground" as some sort of distinguishing factor for not calling this a "war." We didn't really have troops on the ground in Operation Desert Storm, did we? Well, is anyone disputing that we were involved in that war between Iraq and Kuwait? No? Well, then, we are at war with ISIS. Troops on the ground does not distinguish this from being a "war."

Nothing other than the lack of possible casualties of soldiers although they need to distinguish between SOF and regular units which I think they are not as far as to what constitutes boots on the sand.

Politicians or military?

Military. Although they actually tend to be politicians also so everything still ends up as fucking failures everywhere. And the idea that the military knows what they are doing is more suggesting the they are the less evil possible route than the partisans or politicians.

What a goat rope of a thread. Bottom line, more troops are going to the middle east. The CSA is already backpedaling on troop level cuts because we're getting more involved in Iraq and West Africa.

The ISIS can be dealt with military operations and nothing else but the sociological, cultural, and political situations will still exist and military operations can not deal with those problems without equal political and strategic operations.

Wow. Have you considered becoming the Secretary of Defense? No military experience is needed.

They aren't particularly smart, as they are Religious.

Approach them, and tell them their shoe is untied. When they bend down to tie it, bash them over the head.

I knew some clever people far higher up the food chain than you and without exception they realized that merely breaking things would not bring about peace. It may not have been their job to make it a reality but they knew you cannot have a plan of war without an end game and that includes a plan for peace. Hell Aristotle knew that way back when. Now maybe you can join the staff at the War College, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

Everyone knows that. I was just mocking the strategic genius, norseamd.
