That's what I expected. There's no way they would have recommended charges against her.

On the otherhand, isn't this the exact same conclusion they reached about her firing of someone in Wasilla as mayor?

Both Dems and Republicans are 100 percent in agreement.
They were in agreement on releasing the report, but not 100% in agreement on the contents of the report.

Perhaps we should wait till we can see the whole report before writing her obit.

Which still leaves the obvious commentary on McCain's judgment in choosing her in the first place.

I always thought this election would be about who fucked up the least :D

Obama hasn't really fucked up much. He has run one of the best executed campaigns I've ever seen.

The report's conclusions are pretty much what most people expected. A slap on the hand. This won't have much political effect as partisans on both sides have considered it. The report does underline how dangerous she would be as President, however. She's very sloppy and very nasty.

True... had forgotten about that one.

Also, isn't it ironic that Palin says "Obama will diminish the prestige of the presidency", "why doesn't Obama answers the tough questions" , etc... Well, look in the mirror ... Palin

Karma is a bitch.

If there was a video of that comment I think it would have sunk him.

Quoting someone does not make for a very good attack ad. But imagine a clip of him saying that being played in NC, VA, OH, PA, WI and MI endlessly.

It's going to be a bad time for whoever wins though.

I am waiting for someone with Hannity, Limbaugh or Fox to grab some local "expert" from Alaska who will explain that "you folks down there in the lower forty-eight just don't understand how politics works up here in Alaska."

I agree. Though his comment carried a lot of truth, it was the dumbest thing he's said in this campaign. I'm surprised they haven't MADE a video clip of him saying it. :) Hell, they lie about everything else...why not?

No. The American Taliban now have their martyr. They feel most comfortable when they're "cross" and feel they have been nailed. Crown of thorns sales will now go through the roof.

I doubt it, but anything's possible. McCain would lose face if she does, but it might still be better than leaving her in play.

As I posted in another thread, I can't help but wonder whether McCain's conciliatory comments about Obama in WI today (where he said he admires him and that the country wouldn't suffer if he is elected) were said in part because McCain knew what the troopergate report would say and doesn't want to leave Republicans too bitter when the all-but-inevitable happens and Obama is elected.

No. It isn't bad enough for that and the base loves her. It would be like taking crack cocaine from a crack addict. ;)
