Fast and the Furious was a mockery of the street racing scene, and technically a horrible movie. That's not to say it's without some entertainment value. That being said, I can see why so many people were disappointed with the movie (flawed physics, poor acting, idiotic plot) but you gotta realize it's not gunning for an Oscar.

Should be the same with Triple X. Lots of explosions, stupid dialogue, cliche'd plot, but still fun. I can't see why some people here insist on hating every movie that requires an IQ of less than 40 to enjoy. Do you keep your television tuned to CSPAN or Bloomberg too? I bet you people are the life of the party.

<--- hates people who don't know how to have fun

THANK YOU! I cannot agree with this guy more! People need to realize what kind of movie they are going to see before they see it. Yes, fast and furious had horrible dialogue, had horrible actors, and possibly a horrible plot (i thought it was a neat idea), but you gotta expect what you are going to see. That movie was all about cars and thats it. And like this guy said, it was just an entertaining movie, and yes it's not expecting an oscar. It never was intented to. It was intended to get people to go watch cars they don't normally see, and to have a fun time with cars like that. I know that everytime I see this movie again, it gets cheesier and cheesier. But at the same time, thats what makes it fun, talking about how cheesy it is or whatever.

All in all, I think as a movie fast and the furiuous is pretty sad. But as a source of fun entertainment, it is a great way to spend an hour and a half or so.

Is it possible that some people didn't even think it was entertaining? i sure didn't it was not only sad, it was booooooring too... at least to me...

Vin Diesel was the only bearable actor in the Fast and the Furious. He was also great in Iron Giant and Saving Private Ryan, so I could consider myself a fan of his. Plus xXx has Samuel "Jules Windu" L. Jackson; you can't go wrong with that! :)

Have you seen Pitch Black? It seems to be either a love it or hate it type movie, but I loved it.

Jules Windu? I thought his character was Mace Windu. Either way, I don't really care, just as long as he got out of that gawd-awful Shaft phase he was in.

Samuel L Jackson plays "Jules" in Pulp Fiction and "Windu" in SW. I think that is what SaltBoy means.

Isn't the xXx movie based on a comic book character or something?

Vin Diesel

Watch Pitch Black!!

Pitch Black was an awesome movie!! I just whipped out my DVD and watched it yesterday. :D

The only other Vin Diesel movies I've seen are Boiler Room, which was pretty lame, and The Fast and the Furious which was very lame (Point Break with cars).

I'll try and see xXx in the theater.

My wife adores Vin. ;)

I'll definitely see it when it comes out.....3 spy movies this fall! Austin Powers, xXx, and of course, Bond, James Bond.

Vin Diesel is the sh*t....that guy is going to be a huge action movie star, and after reading his bio a while back, he deserves to be where he is. Plus, he's one badass mofo. :)

I regret buying The Fast and the Furious on DVD, anyone wanna buy it? $11 plus USPS shipping (I have hundreds of Reel.com, Amazon.com, Buy.com, CDNow.com cardboard DVD sleeves to ship it in so it'll be secure). PM me.

I'll probably see the movie only because it's free but I highly doubt that I'll buy XXX on DVD unless Denise Richards is in another .... damn I can't say that here!

I'm a bit of a Vin Diesel fan and I'll probably see this movie like I see most movies: for $2.50 at the matinee. Just about any movie is worth that price and it's just a matter of wasted time.

TF & TF sucked. Oh, it was okay for watching, just barely, but even as entertainment it was really stupid. The plot should at least try to make a little sense.

The amount of negative reviews out is kinda depressing. I will still see the movie, just not as urgently anymore...

I just got back from the theater, and it was an average movie. Vin cracked a few funny lines, but otherwise it all action and little plot. It had some wonderful "Dukes of Hazzard" scenes w/ a twist of James Bond. Overall I give it a thumb up for the thrill factor and the fact the theater had the sound cranked to 110+ db.

just saw it

pretty crappy movie IMHO

plot was HORRIBLY weak. Samuel Jackson was a complete waste of relative talent

quite obvious that it's not vin diesel in many action scenes

did i mention the plot?

anywho, don't get me wrong, i can usually enjoy cheesy explosion movies...but this one was especially cheesy!

audience reaction was pretty weak too

Absolutely horrible. More proof that Vin Diesel should just move on to porn and be done with it.

Flat out HORRIBLE.

It wasn't a bad movie, I have seen worse. Basically, it was a brainless action movie and I was pleased by the action scenes. This isn't a serious I want to be considered for the academy awards movies. Don't expect too much and you might like it.

I loved it. Funny to see that columbians put motorcycle ramps in the middle of their big drug operation :D
