Personally, I wouldnt pay $25 for the pro version while there is still a free version, I'd agree with the majority saying 1/2 the price is more adequate. At approx $15, it'd be an affordable solution to its userbase of millions of people. Even at that cheap, the quantity moved would be very high.
And I suppose Trillian was developed overnite? First time I've heard about it was over 2 years ago. And I thought it was $25 for the software. If you dont want the $25 version, use the free one. I'm sure updates will come, but not as often as the commercial one.
I'm also dissapointed in the price; $25 is almost half the cost of UT2K3, a AAA video game that's spent years in development. $10 I would do, it's fair for the features(note to Trillian: $10 for Pro minus the tech support, I don't have faith in software tech support), but $25 for a year of it is simply too much for some features I'd like, but many I'd never use
