FuseTalk sucks, but VB sucks more. Besides, AT is FuseTalk, anything else just isn't right.

Negative. Anyone who has an opinion that VB sucks more than Fusetalk must have visited the shittiest poorly setup VB website on the internet.

Fusetalks SUCKS, I can't believe what they charge for it. A nicely modded VB > Fusetalk any day of the week. Let me make a quick recap:

timewarps - wouldn't be acceptable in a $99 piece of software, even less so in a software that cost over THREE THOUSANDS DOLLARS.
broke search - The search has has sucked since the day I joined, it's 95% worthless. I've honestly seen PHBB (free software BTW) forums with a more reliable search. Free > $3,000 software? I guess so.
ugly - can probably be fixed with a theme, but Fusetalk is about as ugly as Wildcat was in the BBS days.
Anyone who likes Fusetalk better than VB is crazy, I don't even like VB that much, but it's better in every way, shape and form.
Fusetalk costs $3,000+ for the "standard" version and has a yearly maintenance fee. Which itself cost more than a lifetime VB license. And the software still doesn't work. Fusetalk DIAF please.

I won't miss you one bit, I just have these parting words

DON'T let the door hit ya, where the good Lord split ya!

This. VB sucks hard, but I'd rather try something new than deal with FT anymore.

I despise how vb works.

"Please wait while your post is added...", "Please wait while your PM is sent...", "Please wait while we make you wait..."
This is an AdminCP option. You can choose to have redirects or not.

vb generally looks fugly compared to FT.
vBulletin looks however you want it to look. It has the most advanced skin/theme engine of any community software and is infinitely expandable.

The way they handle posting (taking all but the last few posts you're replying to away) makes it hell to look up other things to quote.
Again, this is configurable via the AdminCP.

vBulletin has been time and time again proven to be one of the fastest forum software available. It's proven to handle massive user and post loads without bringing servers to their knees.

Originally posted by: SunnyDThe vb PM system sucks, though comparatively I've had plenty of issues with FT's PM system too.
Many aspects of the PM system are, again, configurable. I don't see how it's any different than any other PM system, honestly.

The vb user interface is ugly and cumbersome.
It can look however you want. Again, configurable.

I could go on, but there's no point. They should have just moved to phpBB.
Seriously? ..

The funny thing is, there are forums out there running vBulletin that you have no idea that they're running it. The product/plugin system for vBulletin is amazing and allows for ridiculously complex modifications to be installed with relative ease. Sure you can run it in it's default (read: bland) state -- but it can do so much more. I've been involved in vBulletin plugin development going on 6 years, and I still find myself amazed at the things people are doing with vBulletin.

XS and SI. It's VB that sucks, especially its moderator panel.

I'm going to miss FuseTalk's avatars but nothing else really.

Save yours if you want, or all of them. I'm looking forward to having one that actually fits better.

That, and the option of embedded images (can be disabled in the User CP for those who just want the links).

I think we got kickbacks for beta testing the software.

Something like that.

I feel like fusetalk is what makes atot civilized. Once we can start uploading pics and everyone gets custom avatars... this place will turn into a zoo.

Hopefully those features won't be turned on.

An unmoderated zoo. There are many security vulnerabilities that can be taken advantage of to usurp the authority of the mods. War is beginning...
