To fusetalk@AT,

It's been nice knowing you. I've been here for some 8 months and I have to say, you have played host to some of the best online acquaintances I've ever known. Sure, there have been complaints about something or the other, but thinking back, I think you really did a nice job.

With the exception of the front-page not loading on January 1st, I can't recall a day where I couldn't access the AT forums with fusetalk. I don't remember you ever getting stuck or hung on me and I think that shows what a robust piece of software you are.

I like many people I've met here. Some, I've had my share of varied opinions, others, down-right hostile, but all in all, fusetalk, the mods do a good job of keeping most of the dirt out and it must be in no small part thanks to the system and foundation that you provide.

I know I'll miss you. Years from now, when we think back to how AT looked like, we'll have nostalgic feelings for you. (I can almost shed a tear for you) :(

I learned a lot of things with you. My first post in a online forum, my first run-in with another user (starts with H, you know who you are) over an issue I mis-understood. I have too many wonderful memories that I'll treasure with me.

All these experiences & lessons, I'll carry over when we move to VB.

fusetalk, I thank you for all the times we shared together.

Thanks to Jason Clark, FuseTalk has been with us since 2000 (or was it late 1999?) It's been almost a decade. I wish I could've been there to see its grand opening here.

We shall miss you dearly, FuseTalk. :)

Bit of a premature goodbye. I predict the new forums will arrive some time in late 2010. I'm not kidding. This software is a fucking joke, especially considering it's some of the more expensive forum software available.

Oh sweet Princess, memory of the good time brings a tear to my eye

From what I've seen, I think a famous quote would be appropriate.

"The News of My Death Has Been Greatly Exaggerated"

I'll believe it, when I see it. Although I sure can't complain about the price. :D

But what if Netcraft confirms it?

Fusetalks SUCKS, I can't believe what they charge for it. A nicely modded VB > Fusetalk any day of the week. Let me make a quick recap:

timewarps - wouldn't be acceptable in a $99 piece of software, even less so in a software that cost over THREE THOUSANDS DOLLARS.
broke search - The search has has sucked since the day I joined, it's 95% worthless. I've honestly seen PHBB (free software BTW) forums with a more reliable search. Free > $3,000 software? I guess so.
ugly - can probably be fixed with a theme, but Fusetalk is about as ugly as Wildcat was in the BBS days.
Anyone who likes Fusetalk better than VB is crazy, I don't even like VB that much, but it's better in every way, shape and form.
Fusetalk costs $3,000+ for the "standard" version and has a yearly maintenance fee. Which itself cost more than a lifetime VB license. And the software still doesn't work. Fusetalk DIAF please.

I won't miss you one bit, I just have these parting words

DON'T let the door hit ya, where the good Lord split ya!

But are they really bugs or FEATURES?
