So evidence came out in court that Travis pointed his gun first. Turns out there was some additional camera footage showing an angle we, the public, hadn't seen before and the defense lawyer admits in court. So basically the McMichael's escalated the use of deadly force first. Their only prayer is that they had a right to citizen's arrest which allowed them to use force first because they were stopping someone who they reasonably believed to have done a felony. Since they didn't witness anything directly, or even get info from someone else about one they are done for. They can't reasonably infer from someone pointing at Ahmaud running down the street that he committed a felony even if they knew there had been burglaries in the area previously. That is not a reasonable deduction to make at that moment. The defense is resting on convincing a jury that somehow that inference was reasonable for anyone to come to that conclusion and I just don't see that happening at all.

Color me unsurprised, he didn't jump out of that truck with a loaded shotgun to ask if he wanted hot coffee. Abery didn't even break into the house it was unfinished and unlocked so at worst, (if owner wanted charges pressed) he'd be up for simple trespass, he didn't vandalize or steal anything.

In fact they found some white guy made a crank call to get police to the scene. He had his back turned to police on a phone call and did not hear any commands from them. Once again some white person makes a complaint and everyone assumes the black guy is guilty instead of properly assessing the situation. Charges were considered against the 911 called for making a false call.

He was NOT pointing the gun at people and children. He was NOT loading it. Once again black=guilty. Meanwhile KR ACTUALLY SHOT AND KILLED PEOPLE and was allowed to walk right by police when they were told he was a shooter.

As for Tamir Rice he was pointing the gun but no evidence he was pointing the toy gun at people. Video just shows him pointing it. Once again no assessment by police and they killed Tamir in <2 seconds. Meanwhile KR walked right by police after killing people and others in the crowd confirming but I guess the police didn't "look" like someone would commit a crime.

These are DIRECT comparisons to how police treat a white person with a gun vs black people. No assessment just shoot to kill. The white guy? We'll just let him slide by.

If this had been a white guy, I truly doubt the ""urgency"" would have existed to grab their guns, to tear out after Arbery, to insist on confronting Arbery, to adopt this attitude "we're not going to let you get away", and then to intentionally escalate the encounter into the act of cold blooded murder.

Frankly, I'm surprised that any black man, woman or child can live or get by in a society like this we live in. This society where blacks have lived in for generations. We had the slave ships, and the slavery itself, and an actually civil war over that freeing of the slaves, and then came the lynchings and the Clan and the church bombings and the assassinations and the all-white jury's and the voter suppressions and the poverty and the name calling and.... with most of this still continuing right up to today.

id like to propose a uniform that would absorb the bullets so the police can let the criminal shoot them before they shoot them back. (of course this wouldnt save any of the missed shots but hey can justify the shooting right?)

I couldn't tell if he had his finger on the trigger. Shot too blurry. We can clearly see he never positioned himself to shoot anyone.

Also I already said I couldn't tell what he was doing and neither can you. We already know the caller lied to the police about what he saw.

Meanwhile KR walked right by police when he had killed people and protestors telling the cops this. They didn't even question him which would have been reasonable.

Yea, NOTHING HAPPENED, the OWNER OF THE PROPERTY gave a statement to the police, zero damage and nothing missing. Abery was unarmed and not in possession of anything. Yea, I guess in the old school they used large horses.

This was a colored person in a mostly trump-white neighborhood, they followed him with two vehicles, struck him with one when he tried to change direction then cut him off and jumped out of the truck with a loaded shotgun pointed at his face. Probably figuring these goon's were going to shoot him anyway he might have indeed tried to grab the barrell of the gun. What you fail to seem to understand is no one should ever bee put in that position.
