Its interesting how these videos make it seem so tame and easy, but when you actually drive it at speed, it is a lot more challenging. Most of the video he seems to be going so slowly, but hes averaging 60+ mph.
And keep in mind that it's almost all uphill at a fairly decent rate of incline.
Those machines are just awesome, and have terrific nimbleness and a lot of weight to throw around and yet maintain controllable grip (even if loose grip/drifting in dirt - it's enough grip to make controlled slides and high-speed turns, though obviously not perfect grip.. it's kind of a science of drift lol).
I want a WRX, as I feel I need exactly those characteristics in my next vehicle. It just might be a little while, I am trying to make my Dakota survive for awhile longer... it has enough work in it to almost be considered new (save for the actual engine block and the associated parts), so I demand it last a little longer. That, and I just cannot afford a vehicle purchase at this point in time. Hopefully in a year I can have the income to afford a loan payment, apartment, and car loan. At the moment, definitely not.
